Responsibilities
- Financial & Forecast Planning
- Own and manage M&N.com OTB and seasonal financial plans to support revenue, margin, and inventory goals
- Build & reconcile SKU, style, category level demand forecasts across all leagues and programs (seasonal, core, collab, Quick-to-Market)
- Partner with Sr Buyer to ensure financial plans align with assortment and storytelling strategies
- Monitor weekly performance and propose in season adjustments (chase, markdown, etc.)
- Inventory & Demand Management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels across evergreen and seasonal styles, balancing depth, risk, and product lifecycle
- Monitor inventory aging, excess, and slow sellers - proposing actionable exit strategies
- Drive planning input on lifecycle stage, size scale, and launch window
- Identify replenishment opportunities for high-performing items and propose exit strategies for aging product
- Cross-Functional Partnership
- Serve as financial planning lead for eCom within seasonal Go-To-Market calendars & launch readiness.
- Partner with Sr Buyer, Site merch, and eCom marketing to ensure inventory supports campaigns, moments, and promotional periods (e.g., Playoffs, Black Friday
- Align with Product and sourcing to track all open orders - inline, exclusives, SMUs, collabs, Quick-to-Market (QTM), Hot Market, etc.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance recaps with a focus on inventory positioning analysis across categories and key programs
- Provide visibility into best/worst sellers, productivity metrics (ST%, WOS, AUR, UPT0 and forecast variances
- Conduct ad-hoc forecasting and deep dives for new launches or underperforming products
- Utilize Tableau & Microstrategy to track performance, identify growth areas, and inform future buys
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 6+ years of experience in planning, sales analysis, buying or demand management
- Strong analytical skills with ability to make empowered decisions
- Able to work independently and be self-motivated
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work with various departmental groups
- Strong to expert level Excel is required
- Understanding of database query tools and demand management software
- Passion and knowledge for sports is a plus
