Full Description

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION:

This role is responsible for the inline category in terms of optimize buying process, timeline,managing merchandising planning, buying in determining store clusters, article selection, article depth, and timely providing sales analysis, trading/fashion trend recommendation to support the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Season Planning:

Develop buy plan per cluster per store according to buying strategy, top down financial target, and deeply understanding of fashion trend and consumer.

Conduct historical analysis in terms of buying structure and provide proposals for pre-season buying structures for each channel at cluster and store level.

Optimize Category buying process, timeline

Monitor buying quantity vs. budget; reconcile buy plan to merchandise plan.

Assortment Planning & Buying:

Create assortment plans by channel/store clusters based on GCA RA, local needs & C/C calendar

Create detailed product & store segmentation/cluster by Product segment & store segmentation

Help to develop assortment seasonal strategy, according to segmentation, local needs and sell-out data for Monobrand stores

Based on historical performance to provide detailed analysis on the article level to identify key drivers for top selling articles, as well as slow moving articles.

Integrate with BU/ RM into c/c campaign planning with right mandatory package to build up at cluster level

In-Season Execution:

Work closely with X-function team to monitor ST% and product performance by channel, region and store format, to have quick actions based on performance.

Lead in the process to provide ongoing product and category performance and quantitative analysis.

Provide analysis to develop mark down strategy and support markdown and clearance process.

Maintain & Monitor compliance of pre-season buy as well as planning calendar

Post-Season Review:

Provide analysis and documentation for post-season review.

Provide seasonal deep dive analysis for customers.

Partner with X-function team to develop action steps for next season.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

BU, Product Sales, OMB Planning, OMB IST, Retail & ECOM Operations team, VM,RM Team, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Solid products and merchandising knowledge
  • Be passionate about buying and able to work under intense timeline
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong (written and verbal) communication and interpersonal skills. Collaborative, able to build strong relationships quickly.

REQUISITE EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILL

  • Bachelor advanced degree, with solid years in consumer industry with at least 6 years in merchandising / buying function
  • Logic thinking driven, good analysis skills.
  • Good at process management
  • Sensitive to fashion industry
  • Prefer good presentation and PPT skills
