Role Overview
The primary responsibility of the Logistics Specialist is to work closely with the Logistics Manager to coordinate all regional logistic needs for the organization. This position ensures the timely, cost effective and compliant movement for all shipments. You will work closely with vendors, 3PL and Carriers to resolve logistics issues and establish control-related standards and procedures.
How you will make an impact:
- Coordinate the logistics operations for transportation of products from our vendors in Americas, which includes monitoring 3PL performance, problem solving, and execution of supply chain processes to ensure on time delivery.
- Effectively track and report all incoming and outgoing shipments and advise status. Resolves issues.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
- Partner with USA headquarters on logistics processes, reporting and 3PL management
- Ensure compliance for Honduras Office Free Zone Customs regulations
- Import/ Export of Honduras Office packages
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or Transportation preferred
- Experience with import/export preferred
- Knowledge of customs, brokers, and foreign carriers and can comfortably communicate regularly with them
- Comfortable to exercise independent judgement on a regular basis
- Excellent computer skills (especially Excel and database applications)
- Self-starter who can work independently and is a fast learner
- Knowledge of transportation principles and practices, including classifications, rate structures, documents, and service labels required
- Experience with all forms of transportation (air, sea, ground)
- Detail minded with strong analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills (oral, written)
- Strong English language skills required
