Full Description
Role Purpose:
The Licensing Coordinator will be a member of the Fanatics Licensing Management team supporting day-to-day servicing of strategic business partners, designated licensees, and new business initiatives. The Licensing Specialist will be a member of the Fanatics Licensing Management team supporting day-to-day servicing of strategic business partners, designated licensees, financial and operational monitoring and new business initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities:
General
- Be a part of the Fanatics Licensing Management Professional team to create a positive partner experience for existing and prospective licensees
- Develop strong working relationships across the Company to identify issues, overcome and tackle these issues, and expertly close deals within deadlines.
- Ensure the smooth running of the licensing International in terms of finance, data and communication
Servicing
- Manage the Brandcomply platform for the entire licensing International team, including changes and additions of new IP, development and improvement + training.
- Operational management of licensees outside product development (attestation, legal issues, marketing and communication, counterfeiting).
- Manage and prepare the various workshops for licensees
- Participate in product seeding and launch
- Participate in the presentation of the collection.
- Manage internal product communications (in particular newsletters)
- Master FLM’s licensee management database (BrandComply) to conduct all business transactions between FLM, its clients, and licensees.
- Act as a resource for licensees on the BrandComply system, including creating and distributing educational materials for licensees on the royalty reporting and artwork submission requirements and procedures and answering licensee questions on the system.
- Ensure that the product is of the highest standard and oversee the product developments.
- Ensure all product approvals are submitted to the licensors / clubs
- Update and maintaine approvals on the in house product development system
- Liaise with Legal for contract process and contract facilitation including generating deal memos, long form agreements, and contract amendments.
Business
- Analyse licensee sales to identify areas for improvement: In charge of the DOMO platform for Licensing International
- Participate to tender processes and marketplace research in collaboration with Licensing Manager
- Participate to renewals process in collaboration with Licensing Manager
- Establish market study for new categories opportunities in collaboration with Licensing Manager
Financials
- Managing all financial aspects of the Licensing International department (training, creating support and following up with employees).
- Manage budget planning/tracking worksheets & monitor quarterly licensee royalty/sales performance.
- Creation of quarterly business review presentations for partners with key insights and analytics of the business.
- Liaise with Finance and legal to ensure accurate royalty reporting and payments.
Development
- Propose new internal processes in all areas to facilitate and improve everyone's work
- Work with the FLM team to support a variety of projects
- Liaise with Marketing/Partner Solutions team for licensee activations.
- Support new business opportunities (i.e., learning/research, prospecting, evaluation).
- Analysis of licensed sports apparel, merchandise and memorabilia marketplace
Knowledge & Experience:
- Excellent knowledge of the world of products and licencing in the sports industry.
- Good knowledge of financial and sales analysis tools.
- Rigour, ability to manage several projects and federator role.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- Fluent English is essential.
