WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for an EMEA Tax Technology Lead who will be responsible for helping drive the implementation of digital tax reporting solutions, supporting tax technology automation and helping keep tax tech system landscape in line with constantly changing legislations and business changes.

Key responsibilities

As the EMEA Tax Tech Lead, you will support:

Tax Tech Project Management & Change Management, including

  • Implementations of Digital Tax Reporting Solutions (across planning, design, and execution) in compliance with local laws and aligned with wider Global Tax Tech data & reporting strategy
  • Support tax technology projects and manage timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communication
  • Drive change management initiatives, ensuring proper adoption of new technologies, tools, and processes across the organization
  • Ensure proper documentation, training, and knowledge sharing within the organization to maintain operational readiness and efficiency

Tax Technology -operational governance, including

  • Support Tax master data records maintenance and tax determination logic, including tax codes setup, tax determination procedures, ensuring they are kept up-to-date and aligned with business needs and tax regulations
  • Support initiatives to automate tax determination/ tax reporting processes including integrations between ERP systems (SAP), tax technology reporting & tax engine platforms (Native SAP, TR OneSource), and other systems
  • Partner on implementation and or maintenance of tax determination logic through OneSource TR Tax Engine and SAP native tax determination functionality, ensuring proper tax calculation and compliance across all relevant jurisdictions
  • Identify and resolve issues related to tax logic, master data integrity, and process improvements within the tax technology landscape

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CTA, or equivalent) is a plus
  • Demonstrable and relevant experience in tax technology management, digital tax reporting (e-invoicing, e-reporting, SAF-T), and tax automation
  • Proficiency with SAP ERP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint and other developing technologies is preferred.
  • Experience in cloud-based tax technology solutions and automation tools
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration and project management, particularly across Tax, Technology and Finance functions
  • Familiarity with programming languages, data structures, and integrations (e.g., XML, SQL) is a plus
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile) are a plus
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH

You will be located at our European Headquarter in Hilversum, Netherlands and will work together with the EMEA Tax Tech Principal and the wider EMEA Tax team, as well as key business partners within Technology, Finance, Customs & Legal, Supply chain and others depending on projects that you will be working on.

You will be part of the Global Tax function reporting to the Global Tax Technology Sr Director based at our Word headquarter in Beaverton, Oregon.
