As a TEAM we regularly interact with Materials Management, Purchasing and Inventory teams and Technology partners globally. It is our responsibility to partner with program, product and engineering peers to ensure we are aligning appropriate technology outcomes with prioritized product initiatives. Beyond our team, collaboration with other global engineering teams, business stakeholders, and technical peers to ensure solutions delivered by our team is essential.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an experienced Lead EDI Software Engineer to join our team based out of our India Technology Center. As a Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of electronic data interchange (EDI) systems and processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop technical solutions to meet those needs.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in EDI software development using Sterling B2B Integrator (SI), Gentran, Boomi and modern integration tools
  • Demonstrated expertise in EDI X12 standards, including but not limited to 850, 856, 855, 810 and 997
  • Experience with communication protocols such as AS2, FTP, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS via VAN or direct EDI connections
  • Strong understanding of supply chain business processes in the Retail Industry
  • Ability to relate or explain technical information to business stakeholders
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across different time zones
  • Experience leading a team of software engineers and providing technical guidance and oversight
  • Mapping experience translating any-to-any formats, including EDI, SAP IDOC, EDIFACT, XML, Positional, and Delimited file outputs as well as SQL-based Table population
  • Experience working with third party EDI providers (1EDI Source, E2Open, GXS, SterlingVAN, SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce
  • Experience with Linux scripting
  • Experience working with Oracle and MySQL databases

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

  • Develop and implement EDI strategies and roadmaps that align with business objectives
  • Leading the design, development, and implementation of EDI systems and processes
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop technical solutions to meet those needs
  • Design EDI maps, architectures and workflows to meet business requirements, ensure scalability and reliability
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for EDI systems and processes, including data flow diagrams, system architecture diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Providing technical guidance and oversight to a team of software engineers
  • Troubleshooting and resolving EDI-related issues
  • Collaborating with the IT team to ensure EDI systems are properly integrated with other systems
  • Staying up-to-date with EDI industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers to ensure successful project delivery
  • Collaborate with trading partners to develop and implement EDI trading partner connections, including setting up and testing EDI transactions
  • Maintain relationships with external partners and vendors
