As the Materials Costing Lead for Apparel & Accessories, you will own the global material strategy across apparel and accessories. You will combine textile expertise, commercial negotiation, market intelligence, and data analytics to establish cost benchmarks, improve supplier competitiveness, and enable product teams to deliver innovation while achieving margin targets. Your Mission

Taking the lead to analyze the database in global sourcing and supplier base and set the benchmark and guideline for costing. Communicate proactively internally with product creation to enable RFT material selection.

Build up material costing benchmarks on a seasonal basis by considering the global and regional market trends and material cost data.

Develop “should-cost” models and identify cost optimization opportunities across materials, manufacturing processes, and suppliers.
-Monitor raw materials market trends and translate market movements into sourcing and pricing recommendations.

Independently conduct seasonal price negotiations with suppliers for raw material, manufacturing, and process costs

Build strong partnerships with suppliers; track their performance based on costing accuracy and efficiency; and collaborate with suppliers and product development for improvement to achieve seasonal profit margin.

Document and manage inputs to material costing, such as raw material prices, processing, and finishing

Partner with product management, material development, and commercialization to achieve margin goals.

Collaborate with the supply chain team on the purchasing model and volume forecast, identify potential bottlenecks, and actively search for volume discount opportunities.

Maintain accurate and complete material costing data on PLM systems.

Leading material Costing projects globally from an end-to-end business perspective, from Project Initiation / Planning to project communication (externally and internally) / tracking and project implementation
Your story
-
At least 7 years of material or relative textile costing background, preferably with 3-4 years in a manufacturing environment and 3-5 years with an international brand.

Advanced analytical capability with experience interpreting large costing datasets and translating insights into commercial decisions.

Strong understanding of textile manufacturing, including yarn, knitting, weaving, dyeing, finishing, and garment manufacturing cost drivers.

Proven experience negotiating material prices and building long-term supplier partnerships.

Experience working with PLM systems and advanced Excel; knowledge of Power BI or similar analytical tools will be an advantage.
-Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.

Excellent communication & interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multicultural teams.

Proficiency in English is required.
