DAZN is looking for a multi-disciplined and talented Lead promo editor to join the newly formed DAZN Creative India.
DAZN is the most disruptive business to hit the sports broadcasting landscape in decades and our creative thinking, execution and team spirit reflects this. By joining the DAZN Creative India as the Lead Editor you will be instrumental in pushing this forward.
The ideal candidate will be proven short form promo editor, with an excellent reel of work. Comfortable working with archive footage & shot footage and experienced in broadcast and /or agency creative. The perfect candidate will be broadly a generalist with a talent in edit capabilities, storytelling and latest industry trends. They will also have experience line manager edit teams and be able to inspire and train.
DAZN Creative is an in-house team responsible for bringing communications / marketing briefs to life through creating and producing innovative, visually stunning, and effective creative that drive business performance across the group globally, with the largest client being DAZN. The department is a mix of Creatives, Designers and Production staff.
Key Responsibilities
As our new Lead Editor, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of editors.
- Manage day-to-day and assign editing duties to ensure projects stay on-time.
- Manage several editing assignments concurrently and report on their progress.
- Provide creative guidance for many different teams with many different business needs across many types of media.
- Read, understand, contribute, and adhere to the creation of project timelines, creative treatments, and other documents that detail a projects scope and direction.
- Work with producers to make technical decisions about a project: equipment, style, location, etc.
- Maintain contact with producer and post-production team to ensure deadlines are established and met.
- Clearly communicate about any concerns that will impact the project timeline.
- Perform Quarterly review duties.
- Provide leadership and guidance, share knowledge and mentor other editors
- Explore ways to develop and retain top talent on our video editing staff.
- Drive decisions about improvements for team post-production method and technology.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
You'll be set up for success if you have:
- 6+ years of experience in video/media production.
- Strong knowledge of post-production process, workflow and software including Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Premiere).
- Experience leading a team of video professionals in a professional environment.
- Able to conduct themselves in a professional environment.
- Able to manage editing many projects at once.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Working knowledge of professional office software.
- Demo reel or examples of work.
Even better if you have:
- 6+ years of media production experience.
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite of software (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and colour correction software such as DaVinci Resolve.
- Working knowledge of production equipment and operation as well as on-set etiquette and decorum.
- Ability to collaborate with remote team members and customers via electronic communication.
- Strong organizational skills and working knowledge of project management software.
