In order to successfully deliver its ambition, On is reinforcing its data, Machine Learning and AI capabilities in the Chinese Market. As a Data Scientist with Machine Learning Engineering experience your mission is to maximize the power of our database by building efficient artificial intelligence systems and to advance our predictive automation capabilities tackling business challenges across loyalty, retention, customer acquisition, channel attribution and omnichannel presence.

You assess, analyze, and organize large amounts of data to execute experiments and optimize machine learning models pursuing data-driven insights. You build scalable data products focusing mainly on product recommendation, personalisation and forecasting use cases, working closely together with business teams aiming to shape the strategic roadmap and optimize performance; all towards realizing On’s business goals and long-term vision.

Your Mission

  • Identify key projects to drive success and maximise the impact of your work through discovering potential high-impact business opportunities and use cases to solve with Machine Learning or AI capabilities.
  • Develop an Machine Learning /AI framework focusing on unique platform-characteristics of the Chinese tech stack landscape and market.
  • Lead ML projects to develop data-driven products, train and optimize classifiers and prediction models, productionize and monitor complex ML systems and construct data pipelines integrated with our digital products to solve difficult business challenges and to contribute to smart decision-making.
  • Focus on forecasting, product recommendation and personalisation use cases that bring significant impact to the Chinese business enhancing customer experience and ultimately improve overall business performance.
  • Analyze and leverage big data and conduct statistical inference focusing on the whole customer journey and translate these findings into actionable strategies.
  • Establish strong relationships with critical business partners globally to ensure alignment and success. Communicate data science and advanced analytical solutions to stakeholders.

Your story

  • You have 6+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with good Machine Learning Operations exposure in a Direct-to-Consumer/E-commerce business environment with a clear understanding of digital marketing and customer experience strategies and of prediction models, classifiers, marketing channel mix, attribution, recommendation engines, user behavior, website performance, etc.
  • You have experience in developing and enhancing an Machine Learning /AI platform for robust model development
  • You have experience in building end-to-end machine learning pipelines with automated performance monitoring, dynamic model retraining and handling real-time inference in a production environment
  • You have knowledge of and experience with software architecture, Machine Learning and Machine Learning Operations frameworks and with recommendation and personalization techniques
  • You are proficient in applied statistics, bayesian testing, forecasting, incrementality testing and in experiments such as causal impact analysis.
  • Familiarity with Marketing-mix modelling and recommender systems is a plus.
  • You feel comfortable working in dynamic and fast moving environments, you have a proactive attitude and you are constantly looking for new challenges.

In person or virtually, you'll get a feel for the day-to-day at On and the people who make it happen. You'll chat with a few potential teammates - the conversations will be as equally driven by the role and your experience as by our values. We believe how you do things is just as important as what you do.

    The Result
