MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
INSURANCE & CUSTOMS CLAIMS
- Manage customs and insurance claims related to CPD documents, from analysis and coordination through to resolution and formal closure.
- Liaise with insurers, underwriters, FIA member clubs, and customs authorities to verify claim validity and support effective resolution.
- Support the reduction of outstanding or uncleared customs claims, helping to protect the financial sustainability of the CPD network for member clubs.
- Prepare claims reports and management summaries for the Head of Tourism Services and senior stakeholders.
CUSTOMS & TRAVEL DOCUMENT EXPERTISE
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of international customs documentation frameworks, including CPD, ATA Carnet, TIR Carnet, and related conventions.
- Provide guidance to FIA member clubs and internal stakeholders on customs formalities, border-crossing regulations, and vehicle documentation requirements.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on FIA travel document programmes.
- Support dispute resolution in cases of customs non-compliance, coordinating with customs authorities and legal counsel where required.
MEMBER CLUB RELATIONS & OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
- Act as a trusted operational contact for FIA member clubs on CPD, IDP, customs, and insurance-related matters.
- Maintain regular contact with clubs to understand operational challenges and provide practical solutions.
- Support CPD operations when needed, including order processing, documentation follow-up, invoicing coordination, and training activities.
- Work in a small and lean team environment, with a hands-on and collaborative mindset.
STRATEGIC CONTRIBUTION
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and strategic development of FIA Tourism Services.
- Provide operational and regulatory input to support the evolution of FIA travel document services and member support.
- Carry out additional assignments within the scope of the role as directed by the Head of Tourism Services.
PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in law, international trade, insurance, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in international insurance claims, customs bonds, transport, or international trade insurance.
- Strong understanding of insurance claims handling, with the ability to analyse complex claims files and challenge invalid claims when appropriate.
- Knowledge of international customs regulations and travel documentation frameworks is an asset; specific CPD training will be provided.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Resilient and diplomatic, with the ability to manage demanding stakeholders across cultures and jurisdictions.
- Arabic and English, written and spoken, are mandatory; French or another language is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with claims management or document tracking systems is an asset.
