Infrastructure Engineer

The role is for DAZN Core IT Infrastructure team, it is a centralised function within Technology Operations that delivers our services globally. The team provides services across multiple cloud providers as well as our private cloud. Candidate will help to maintain and deliver new and inspired solutions for the business.

We are seeking an 8+ years experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments. The role focuses on infrastructure running on Nutanix hypervisor platforms and Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability, operational stability, automation, and security compliance.

The ideal candidate will bring strong Linux engineering expertise, infrastructure automation skills, and hands-on experience managing core IT platform services.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Operations

Administer and support on-premise and cloud infrastructure environments.
·       Manage and maintain Nutanix-based virtualization platforms.
·       Support and maintain AWS infrastructure services as part of hybrid cloud operations.
·       Deploy, configure, and support Linux guest operating systems in enterprise environments.
·       Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity planning.
·       Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution.
·       Manage backup and recovery solutions using enterprise tools.

Linux Systems Engineering
·       Build, harden and maintain enterprise Linux servers.
·       Implement OS lifecycle management, patching and upgrades.
·       Ensure system security, compliance and operational best practices.
·       Infrastructure service management: DNS, SFTP, SMTP, Proxy, NTP, LDAP, NFS, IPA.
Automation & Configuration Management
·       Develop and maintain automation using Ansible.
·       Automate routine operational tasks and deployments.
·       Maintain consistent configuration and compliance across Linux environments.
·       Support Infrastructure-as-Code and standardization initiatives.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Required Skills

·        Strong hands-on Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS/Alma/Rocky or equivalent)

Proven experience in managing production enterprise environments, with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure (Nutanix on-prem + AWS)
·        Ansible automation and configuration management

Identity management (IPA) & OS patch management (Spacewalk, Katello)
·        Networking fundamentals (DNS, SMTP, NTP, secure file transfer)
·        Infrastructure monitoring tools – CheckMK, Nagios.
·        Backup and recovery concepts.
·        Proactive approach toward automation and continuous improvement
·        Ability to work independently in production environments.
·        Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Certifications:

Candidates holding one or more of the following certifications will be preferred:

Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
·       Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
·       AWS Certified Solutions Architect
·       Veeam Certification (VMCE)
