Posting Start Date:  03/12/2025 Entity:  Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage

Department: Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage

Location : Lausanne, Switzerland

Contract Type : Open-ended

Activity Level: 100%

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including athletes, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), Worldwide Olympic Partners and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.

If you are experienced in the field of Impact Measurement, and are inspired by the vision to build a better world through sport, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to the Olympic Movement within the IOC. As an Impact Measurement Specialist, your mission will be to contribute to the activities of the Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage (OFCH), including the Olympic Museum and the Olympic Studies Centre, in credibly demonstrating their cultural, educational and social impact. The role focuses on collecting, organising, analysing and reporting data that supports strategic decision-making, accountability and resource allocation. The Impact Measurement Specialist ensures that the value of our work is measurable and clearly communicated to internal and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Support Impact Evaluation and Audience Research Across OFCH Projects
  • Design and implement high-quality evaluations of OFCH projects, including the Olympic Museum, Olympic Studies Centre, international initiatives and digital platforms.
  • Conduct comprehensive audience research studies focused on brand perception, visitor experience and engagement patterns.
  • Develop audience segmentation models, scoring systems and personas that support targeted and effective engagement strategies.
  • Coordinate the collection and management of feedback systems (surveys, reviews, brand health trackers), ensuring data is accurate, organised and actionable.
  • Track and analyse the performance of promotional campaigns across key communication channels, providing data-driven insights to inform personalised content, channel selection and future engagement strategies.
  • Monitor key trends in project evaluations and audience research to provide insights that inform strategic planning, resource allocation and visitor experience management across the OFCH.
  1. Contribute to Impact Measurement Frameworks, Platforms and Reporting
  • Support the creation and development of the OFCH’s measurement frameworks to ensure reporting is accurate, consistent and actionable.
  • Maintain and update the centralised impact measurement dashboard(s), ensuring datasets are complete and well-structured for analysis.
  • Compile, clean and analyse quantitative and qualitative data to assess the OFCH’s performance and positioning relative to strategic objectives and comparable institutions.
  • Track and report performance by audience segment and across the customer lifecycle (acquisition, retention, reactivation) to optimize engagement strategies.
  • Contribute to the preparation of clear, well-structured evaluation and impact reports for internal leadership, IOC reporting and external stakeholders.
  1. Strengthen Organisational Capacity for Measuring and Reporting Impact
  • Support OFCH teams in integrating impact-oriented thinking and measurement at the outset of each project.
  • Coordinate and deliver training, guidance, and tools to help teams collect, monitor, and use data effectively.
  • Provideuser-friendly templates, checklists, and support materials to ensure consistent data collection across OFCH projects and platforms.
  • Stay informed about best practices and emerging methodologies in impact measurement, audience research, and visitor studies, and apply relevant approaches to strengthen OFCH’s internal processes.

Professional Competencies

  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Skilled in tracking progress, managing datasets, analysing results, and synthesising complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Can work effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Highly detail-oriented, methodical, and pragmatic in problem-solving, with a focus on delivering reliable and actionable outcomes.
  • Able to assist colleagues in applying impact measurement practices and tools across projects.
