The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) offers the position of a full-time Impact Manager (f/m/x) in an international and multicultural team at the IPC Headquarters in Bonn, Germany, starting as soon as possible.

The IPC, a purpose-driven non-profit association, is the global governing body of the Paralympic Movement. We oversee the delivery of the Paralympic Games and Paralympic Winter Games and serve as International Federation for five Para sports. We enjoy a positive working relationship with the IPC Governing Board, members of which are democratically elected every four years by the IPC General Assembly. Since 1989, we have been creating change through sport with the Paralympic Games and Paralympic athletes at our core.
The IPC seeks to use the influential global position of the Paralympic Movement and the growing profile of Para athletes to challenge the stigma attached to disability and empower social transformation.
ROLE
The Impact Manager (f/m/x) is accountable to the Deputy CEO and will be responsible for contributing to the strategic and operational deliverables related to driving impact through Para sport and the Paralympic Movement.
This position plays a key role in the implementation of the IPC Impact Strategy to support the IPC and its members in their efforts as catalysts for social change for persons with disabilities. This also includes coordinating research that demonstrates the benefit of Para sport, and supporting future Organising Committees advance the legacy and impact of the Paralympic Games.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage relationships and communication with external stakeholders in the social impact and disability inclusion space.
- Measure progress on the implementation of the IPC Impact Strategy.
- Identify collaboration opportunities in alignment with the IPC Impact Strategy, including with IPC member organisations.
- Support the development of a research initiative, with a focus on demonstrating the societal benefit of Para sport.
- Liaise with future Organising Committees for the Paralympic Games on sustainability, impact and legacy (SIL).
- Support the IPC’s participation in key international conferences and events.
- Execute and support other tasks or projects related to impact.
CORE REQUIREMENTS
- Passion for the IPC’s vision, mission, and values.
- A minimum of five years of work experience in sport for development, disability inclusion and/or international development.
- A university-level degree in International Relations, Political Science, Sport Management or a related field.
- Proven experience working on the delivery and measurement of social impact strategies.
- Excellent relationship-building, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to respectfully collaborate with and motivate others in an international, multi-cultural environment.
- Strategic thinker, with the ability to engage at detailed project level.
- Ability to operate in a fast-changing environment, handle multiple tasks, prioritise and work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills, detail-oriented and meticulous work manner.
- Excellent verbal and written command of English.
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
- At least three years of working experience in an intercultural environment, such as in the Global South and/or working with Global South stakeholders.
- Knowledge of inclusion approaches to monitoring and evaluation.
- Understanding of the functioning of organising committees and related legacies from hosting Paralympic Games.
