Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
Position
The Observers Programme will support the smooth planning, delivery, and operations of all activities included in the “Observer Programme Milano Cortina 2026” (hereinafter OBP) for the Olympic Winter Games, and the “Future OCOGs Activities for Learning” (hereinafter FOAL) Programme for the Paralympic Winter Games. This will be done as part of the IKL delivery team, working in close collaboration with the IOC, the IPC, and most of the MICO 2026 Functional Areas (FAs).
- Assisting with the daily delivery of the Observers Programme to ensure participants are correctly directed to scheduled activities;
- Supporting the welcoming and assistance of accredited observers at the reception desk;
- Helping coordinate logistics and support managing activity equipment (e.g., headsets, microphones);
- Assisting with checking participant lists and monitoring attendance for learning activities;
- Supporting smooth check-in and check-out processes for each session;
- Supporting Observers Programme volunteers in organizing guidance for observer groups during scheduled activities;
- Helping prepare the Briefing Room and ensuring it is ready for presentations and meetings;
- Assisting in distributing materials and agreed observer gifts, in accordance with protocol;
- Additionally, the intern might support the Information Data Manager with any tasks relating to archiving and coordination of the secure collection and shipment of memorabilia and artefacts to the Olympic Museum, IPC Heritage, and other designated stakeholders;
Requirements
- Basic understanding of event coordination and international environments;
- Organization, communication, teamwork, time management, basic tech use;
- Prior support in events, admin, or customer-facing roles preferred;
- Fluent in English; Italian a plus; university background in relevant field(s);
- Strong communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills, a proactive learner and problem-solving attitude is expected.
