Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a passionate ICT System & Network Engineer (m/f/d) 80-100% who wants to shape and operate a modern enterprise network environment within a dynamic and international sports-driven organisation.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, operating and continuously improving our enterprise network and security infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance and security across our global IT environment.

You will work in a collaborative, hands-on and fast-moving environment, where your ideas matter and where you can actively contribute to modernising and securing our IT landscape.

Your main tasks

  • Operate, support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including core and access switching, VLANs and network segmentation

  • Operate, support and maintain secure network access and connectivity, including Network Access Control (NAC) and firewalls

  • Manage and support enterprise wireless environments across multiple locations

  • Lead and assist IT infrastructure and network projects from planning through implementation

  • Continuously improve IT system and security architecture to ensure high availability, scalability and security

  • Manage external partners and consultants in your responsible domain

  • Evaluate, test and source new hardware and software solutions

  • Design and create technical concepts and IT architecture solutions

  • Develop and implement IT processes based on business and operational requirements

  • Monitor security incidents and respond accordingly to minimise risk and operational impact

  • Ensure continuous software updates, patching and lifecycle management

  • Support the IT Service Desk in daily operations, escalations and troubleshooting

  • Contribute to the standardisation and optimisation of the global network infrastructure

Your profile

  • You bring 5–8 years of experience in a similar ICT System Engineer or Network Engineering role

  • You have completed an apprenticeship in IT, a higher technical education, a degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • You have enterprise network experience and enterprise network security experience, ideally with Cisco and Aruba technologies (Aruba ClearPass, Forescout CounterACT, Barracuda CloudGen Firewall or Barracuda Control Center)

  • You have experience with enterprise wireless environments, ideally including Aruba Access Points, Aruba Mobility Controller and Aruba Mobility Conductor

  • You have experience implementing and maintaining IT infrastructure services in hybrid environments

  • You are able to plan, implement and support IT services in complex environments

  • You are able to translate business needs into technical requirements

  • You show excellent analytical thinking and sound decision-making

  • You have a strong commitment to quality, reliability and a client-first mindset

  • You communicate clearly, collaborate well and bring an approachable, supportive personality

  • You can motivate, guide and inspire others, also in project settings

  • You are fluent in German and English
