Main goal

The ICT Enterprise Architect leads, develops and prioritises UEFA's technological ICT landscape and its long-term IT strategy in order to guarantee the organisation's technological independence and control, while steering the ICT strategy to ensure that it remains aligned with UEFA’s overall strategy. They support investment decisions and innovation and shape the enhancement and implementation of cutting-edge technologies with a view to optimising efficiency.

Key responsibilities

Enterprise architecture strategy

  • Directing the overall architecture strategy and producing an actionable technological roadmap
  • Understanding UEFA's business strategy
  • Establishing the means and resources required to guide the implementation of the strategy and technological roadmap

Enterprise architecture practices

  • Maintaining an enterprise architecture vision, standards, principles and guidelines
  • Collaborating with other ICT teams (infrastructure, solutions, security, etc.) to ensure alignment with the technological roadmap
  • Chairing the ICT Technical Review Board (technical review process including ICT design and architecture)
  • Owning the enterprise architecture tool

Innovation

  • Assessing forces that impact UEFA’s strategy and identifying technological enablers
  • Monitoring technological trends and emerging technologies to advise and seize opportunities
  • Identifying technological threats and technical debts and proposing mitigations
  • Running technology experiments

Business and ICT portfolio

  • Leading analysis of the business’ future-state capabilities and ICT environment to detect deficiencies and recommend solutions/improvements
  • Determining the relationship between people, processes, data and technology
  • Presenting gap analyses and ICT investment roadmaps that reflect the status of the existing ICT services roadmap
