As Head of Rights – Iberia, you will facilitate, improve and conduct DAZN’s ongoing relationships with third parties such as rights holders, leagues, federations, intermediaries, clubs and players to ensure DAZN gets more value from investments in content. 

The role requires you to build relationships through collaboration, trust, expertise, understanding third party and DAZN's objectives, linking them together in creative and innovative ways, demonstrating value and success and providing useful insight through regular communication and reporting. 

As a team player with an enthusiasm for problem solving, you will also provide additional support to DAZN’s central rights team, as we continue to expand our content portfolio in Spain and globally. If this sounds like your next challenge – we would love to hear from you!

As our new Head of Rights - Iberia you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • External: work hand-in-glove with stakeholders (including LaLiga and their clubs) to maximise our commercial value during the term of our agreements). You will provide the league and relevant clubs with useful insights that supports DAZNs requirements. 
  • Internal: be a subject matter expert on all our key Spanish content partners and act as a point of contact for all League related questions/issues/ideas. Ensure that live rights and non- live content is supporting the overall objective of the market. 
  • Support our international rights team with queries or ad hoc tasks where required and play a pivotal role in coordinating our local rights processes (both tender process and existing agreements in DAZN markets) 
  • Identify new content opportunities for DAZN to develop the business which can lead to profitable revenue growth. 
  • Help manage the renewal of existing agreements and the acquisition of relevant new content on compelling terms. 

What we’re looking for:

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

  • 5+ years’ work experience in Sports media industry 
  • Excellent knowledge of the Spanish media landscape with active industry contacts 
  • Committed team player, with great interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for solving problems
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and commercial acumen 
  • Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly with senior stakeholders
  • Languages – Spanish (native level), English (business fluency) 

Even better if you have:

  • Experience at an OTT or subscription service/platform
  • Experience working with domestic or international football leagues, federations and clubs
  • Legal background or experience working with contracts
  • Strong capabilities in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
