About the opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Partnerships and Charitable Giving to join our Income Generation team.
As Head of Partnerships and Charitable Giving, you will play a pivotal leadership role in growing and diversifying unrestricted income for Everton in the Community by driving high-value corporate partnerships, philanthropic collaborations, and strategic fundraising initiatives.
This is a dual-focus role with two key priorities:
1. To develop and lead a strategy for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) aligned partnerships, working with purpose-led businesses to co-create long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
2. To oversee and support the fundraising team, ensuring the successful delivery of core income-generating campaigns including events, donor stewardship, lottery and giving programmes, and the 1878 Membership scheme. You will work closely with colleagues in marketing, comms, programme operations, and iImpact & iInsight to align fundraising and partnership activities with EitC’s wider mission and strategic objectives.

To understand the Club’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines.

To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to an Anti-bullying environment.
Who we are looking for: Essentially, we are looking for an individual who has extensive experience in income generation, fundraising or business development. Including oversight of diverse income streams such as philanthropic giving, sponsorship, donor engagement, and fundraising campaigns.
To be successful in this role you must be strategic and commercially astute and able to drive and develop long-term income and partnership strategies that align with the charity’s mission and goals.
Other essential skills, knowledge and experience will include:

Degree-level education (or equivalent experience). Preferably in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, Corporate Social Responsibility, Fundraising, Social Impact, Public Affairs, or related disciplines.

Significant experience in developing and securing high-value corporate or strategic partnerships, ideally within a CSR or ESG context.

Proven success in growing and diversifying unrestricted income in a not-for-profit, charity or commercial setting.

Experience leading or overseeing fundraising campaigns or teams.

Strong leadership, line management and budgetary oversight experience.

Strategic thinking with budgetary and performance management experience. Including setting income targets, forecasting, and evaluating return on investment.

Knowledge of fundraising best practice and regulatory frameworks. Including Gift Aid, data protection, and charity fundraising codes of practice.

The hours for this role will be 35 per week, this role will be offered on a Permanent contract.
The primary location for the role will be the EitC campus.
