We are constant innovators in the footballing world, constantly striving to be the best, and the first to accomplish new feats, while establishing new forms. We are one of the Founding Members of the Football League and pioneers of the game.

Throughout our 141-year history we have been recognised as a family-oriented Club based on our proud traditions. Those traditions have also encouraged innovation, ensuring Everton has remained one of the great pioneering Clubs in the history of the game. The first Club to construct a purpose-built football stadium, Goodison Park is one of the most revered stadiums in England, among a list of other firsts achieved by Everton Football Club.

Our values underpin how we behave, how we represent our Club in our city, across the world of football, and how we look after one another daily. They provide a framework for how we work with partners, suppliers, and most importantly our fans. They help us to connect families.

We are ‘The People’s Club’, that’s why it is so important that we follow our mission, which is ‘to make Evertonians proud to be blue’, that is what we live every day through our motto:

"Nil Satis Nisi Optimum” – nothing but the best is good enough"

Culture

Family, Authentic, Determined and Ambition are the Club’s key values that we live by each and every day.

As ‘The People’s Club’ we understand that our people are hugely important to us and we want to ensure that those working for the Everton Family feel valued, recognised and happy in their roles. That’s why each year we participate in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies To Work For survey so that we can independently receive feedback from our staff to find out what they think about us as an employer.

In February 2019 Everton Football Club was named one of the best places to work in the UK for the second year running, climbing 25 places from last year’s position to 71st on the list.

Equality and diversity are fundamental principles at the core of the Club. We believe in equal opportunities for all and in all areas of diversity to ensure that individuals are not discriminated against. Our ‘All Together Now’ campaign, which we launched in December last year, demonstrates this and we are proud to showcase our inclusivity through our Disability Leader and Autism Together accreditations.
