Full Description
In short
At On, our ambition is bold: to become the most premium global sports brand, built on performance, design, and sustainability. We are driven by a singular mission — to ignite the human spirit through movement.
We are looking for a visionary and hands-on leader to join us as Head of Digital Product for China, a strategic, consumer-centric leadership position with end-to-end accountability for shaping the full digital product and consumer experience for millions of customers in China. This covers the entire omni-channel journey — from online/offline integration to key local platforms like WeChat Miniprogram and China Digital Marketplaces.
You will serve as the center of consumer, digital experience, technology, and project management, defining the product vision and roadmap, and co-owning execution with Engineering and Commercial leadership to build data-driven, personalized experiences that attract, convert, and retain customers.
Your Mission
Your mission is to shape and articulate a compelling product vision and long-term strategy for On’s omni-channel digital consumer experiences in China.
You will serve as the center of consumer, digital experience, technology, and project management, owning how our products attract, engage, and retain customers across all commercial channels — Retail, Wholesale, Local DTC (WeChat), and China Marketplaces — ensuring experiences are premium, locally relevant, and globally scalable.
As the strategic owner of the China customer product portfolio, you will define how data, personalization, and seamless cross-channel journeys come together to drive customer satisfaction, loyalty, and commercial growth. You will guide the evolution and integration of both global platforms and locally built capabilities, ensuring a seamless, end-to-end customer journey across offline and online touchpoints, with a core focus on WeChat Miniprogram and China Digital Marketplaces.
A core part of your mission is to elevate Digital Product in China to a true strategic partnership — deeply understanding customer and business needs, shaping direction early, and co-owning outcomes with Technology and Commercial leadership.
You will serve as a key connector between China and the global organization, turning local insights into global advantage and helping build a world-class, interconnected digital experience that fuels On’s growth in China and beyond. Define Product Vision & Strategy: Shape and articulate a compelling product vision and long-term strategy for customer experiences in China, aligned with On’s global brand, commercial goals, and technology strategy. Translate complex market dynamics, customer insights, and business priorities into clear product principles and actionable roadmaps. Lead Omni-Channel Customer Experiences Own the end-to-end product experience across Retail, Wholesale, Local DTC (WeChat), and China Marketplaces. Ensure a connected, cohesive, premium, and locally relevant experience across all touchpoints while enabling global scalability. Drive Roadmap Ownership & Execution Lead the development, prioritization, and execution of product roadmaps, balancing speed, quality, and long-term value together with your tech counterpart. Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and Commercial leaders to ensure high-quality, predictable delivery of strategic initiatives. Champion Customer & Market Insights Promote a deep understanding of Chinese customer behaviors, expectations, and journeys, ensuring insights are consistently reflected in product decisions. Embed customer discovery, research, and validation into how teams work. Inspire & Develop High-Performing Teams Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing product organization in China. Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and outcome-driven thinking, enabling teams to do their best work. Foster Innovation & Continuous Improvement Encourage experimentation and learning to evolve customer experiences, personalization, and engagement models. Partner with Tech and Data leaders to leverage modern technologies and AI-driven capabilities where they create meaningful customer and business impact. Leverage Data for Growth & Impact Establish a data-driven decision-making culture, defining success metrics tied to customer engagement, retention, and commercial performance. Use insights and experimentation to guide prioritization, justify investments, and continuously improve outcomes. Act as the China Product Voice Globally Represent China’s product needs and opportunities within the global organization. Share learnings and innovations from China to help influence global product strategy and platform evolution.

What to expect
We want to set everyone up for success, so here’s the lowdown on how we hire. Our process is a two-way street – bringing you into our culture, while helping us learn how you think.
Our full process can last about eight weeks from application to offer, because we care about getting it right. These steps explain how we usually do things.
Before you get started, feel free to consider if you want to work with us. Strange question? Well, we give people a lot of space to navigate their day-to-day and that style isn't for everyone. We want you to be passionate about what you do and be sure this is the right fit. Because when skills and passion combine – it creates that 'Wow' moment.
Step One
It starts with you...
You'll start by submitting your application to a specific role. We try to keep this step as simple as possible. We do get a lot of applications, but we review them all. If you're a good fit to the role, a recruiter will follow up with you directly. If you didn't receive a reply, or were unsuccessful this time around, we encourage you to look for other possible matches at On.
Step Two
Interview with a recruiter
What ignites your spirit? This is where we’ll start getting to know all about you and what makes you tick – and it’s your first chance to get a feel for our culture. Chatting with a member of our talent team, you’ll learn more about On and how we work. We’ll learn about what motivates you and what you could bring to the team.
Step Three
Interview with a hiring manager
Ready to dig into the details? This second interview will be held with your future manager and will focus on the specifics of the job. Together you’ll delve into your unique skills and experiences and how they could be relevant at On. It's also a time to assess how you might feel working side-by-side. Bring any questions you have about the job, the team or anything else you might like to know – this is an open forum.
Step Four
The Case Study
What's your style? This task will help us understand how you think, face a challenge and give insight into your novel ideas. Designed to give everyone their best shot, your case study is based on something you might typically experience on the job. This is your chance to show us what you’ve got. So express yourself. Be you.
Step Five
The Experience Day
Your first taste of the Oniverse. This is a time to meet some of the people you'll be working closest with. In person or virtually, you'll get a feel for the day-to-day at On and the people who make it happen. You'll chat with a few potential teammates - the conversations will be as equally driven by the role and your experience as by our values. We believe how you do things is just as important as what you do.
Step Six
The Result
Are we a good fit? We’ll get together internally to share our feedback and decide if we’re a match. We know that job searching is a big time investment, so it’s not a decision we take lightly. It’s also time for you to reflect on the experience – are we the right place for you? No matter the outcome, we’ll give you meaningful feedback.
