Head of Sportsbook Architecture
Location – London/Leeds/Dublin
Hybrid in local office, with monthly travel

We are seeking a Head of Architecture to design, implement, and run our sportsbook and trading technology ecosystems. This role will be instrumental in realising the technology behind the products that are at the heart of our global sportsbook business

As part of the Architecture function you will be accountable for the architecture of our sportsbook platforms, including risk, sports modelling and distribution.

Your team of architects will be lead by you to define the vision, strategy and roadmaps for the target state technology architecture. Including implementing vital processes and mechanisms that will enable alignment to the visions and roadmaps.

The role is pivotal to supporting not only Flutter Functions but all brands across the group. The role holder will need to have strong convictions and opinions on what the right thing to do is for the long term of the group, whilst simultaneously being thoughtful and supportive to the short to medium terms needs of our brands / divisions.

Flutter consists of two commercial divisions (Fanduel and International) and our central Flutter Functions; COO, Finance & Legal. Here in Flutter Functions, we work with colleagues across all our divisions and regions to deliver something we call the Flutter Edge. It's what differentiates us, our ‘secret sauce' which plays a key part in our ongoing success and powers our brands and divisions, through Product, Tech, Expertise and Scale.

What you'll do

• Partner with product, engineering and business teams to ensure solutions meets business needs
• Formulate architecture strategy & vision to empower value and enablement workstreams to make their own decisions and act independently
• Consistently demonstrate excellent communication skills to articulate sophisticated technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
• Lead a team of talented architects to design, develop and implement innovative, secure, scalable and reliable technology solutions
• Attract, develop, and retain top talent
• Proactively manage risks associated with technology choices, architectural decisions and system integrations
• Support the architecture process that ensures that right things are reviewed globally, by the right people, in a timely fashion

How you'll do it

• Experience operating in an architecture leadership role within a fast-paced
  online/eCommerce organization
• Experience with Sports betting platforms and the sports betting business and product landscape
• Consistent record of designing and implementing secure, scalable and reliable solutions
• A positive relationship builder and motivator who will thrive working closely with internal teams and across a diverse group structure.
• Ability to co-ordinate multiple stakeholders, requirements, and priorities whilst working to timescales.
• Proficient in technology architecture standards – capable of establishing guidelines, implementing appropriate procedures, and crafting platforms to ensure the function's success.
• Sees and lives architecture as an enabler of business value.
• Strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills – with an ability to simplify sophisticated problems or solutions in a way that is easy to understand for a non-technical audience.
• Understanding of the core components of portfolio and demand management.
• Experience in leading or contributing to technology projects across different
  geographies
