Position Summary
Global FanandPartner InsightsAnalyst(EME)is to be acritical member of thecentralConsumer & Fan Insights team within theFan Engagement & Data Strategy organization, witha dedicatedfocus on supportingEurope & the Middle East. This role will be instrumental in harnessing the power ofconsumerdata and insights to inform strategy, deepen fan engagement, and support decision-making across core business areas, including Marketing, Partnerships, and Business Development.Reporting to the Global Fan InsightsLead, the analyst will be responsiblefortranslating data from both syndicated,custom researchanddigitalconsumerbehavioral datasetsinto clear, actionable insights for local regional stakeholders acrossEMEto make data a key component of business decision-makingand positioning of the NBA’s high-value audiences. The goal: tofurtherembed data-driven thinking into every aspect of the NBA’soperations acrossEurope and the Middle Eastand help to drive revenue through commercial success. The ideal candidate will be deeply curious about consumer behavior, adept at turning data from research sources into powerful narratives and experienced in using insights to influence decision-makingand business development. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teamsacross bothEMEand Centralpartners to ensure the voice of the fanis always at thecenter ofmarketing strategy, business planning,commercial opportunitiesand growth initiatives.
Major Responsibilities
Support the Global Fan Insights Lead to activate a unified vision for insights work across international markets,tailoring it to the unique opportunities and cultural nuances ofEuropean and Middle Easternfanscovering NBA and NBA Affiliate Leagues.
Act as the day-to-day insights support working closely withboth Global Fan Insights Team andFan & Partner InsightsLead assisting theEurope and Middle Eastbusinessby localizing and helping to deliver key consumer insights to help impact business.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fan insights into strategic planning,business developmentand campaign execution.
Leverageconsumerdatasets and research to craft insightful stories to fuel revenue growthwithinEurope and the Middle East.
Collaborate with the Partnerships team to develop and tailor commercial consumer insights deliverables that support sales narratives and partner engagement efforts, as well as help retain partners,measuring successthrough consumer insightsand other measurement techniques.
Utilize advanced analytics techniques to extract actionable insights from large-scale datasets, including fan engagement metrics, social media data, and consumer surveys.
Support the development and implementation of fan research projects, including survey design, data collection, and analysis.
Be an establishedlocalexpert and go-to-resource for fan insights utilizing custom and syndicated resources to supportbusiness strategy,marketing,basketball ops,media,content,new business and partner renewal initiatives.
Developconsumer insightsreportsand presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Conduct in-depth analysis of fan demographics, psychographics, and consumption patterns to identify key segments and trendsacrossthe EME fan-base.
Collaborate withpartnership teamsto develop and tailorconsumerinsights deliverables that support sales narratives and partner engagement efforts.
Leverage consumer insights and media valuation approaches to measurevalueand demonstrate success against key partnership objectives
Required Education/Professional Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field required
A minimum of 3-5 years of market research experience
Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes
Expert at problem-solving, critical thinking
Ability to successfully navigate cross-functional teams and prioritize across competing needs
Adept in both quantitative and qualitative consumer research
Experience utilizing Consumer Insights tools such as Qualtrics, syndicated survey sources (e.g. GWI), Social Listening (e.g. Talkwalker) etc.
Strong analytical skills including data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must
Storytelling ability using a range of data sources with the ability to convert complex findings into insightful and concise reporting and presentations.
Exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Strong partnership skills and experience working with various functional teams and markets.
Demonstrated success in evangelizing the purpose of an enterprise global team within a highly matrixed environment.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities with many stakeholders.
Experience supporting an international business or partner (preferably inEurope and the Middle East).
