Full Description

The Premier League’s Digital Media team is seeking a Gaming Executive to assist in the delivery of game operations and development, and to support the Senior Gaming Manager in the development and execution of the Premier League’s gaming strategy. 

Based in our London office, you will support the production and publishing of Fantasy Premier League to over 11 million players. You will also help produce a collection of new games as we look to reach and develop a new generation of Premier League fans through gaming. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the gaming industry, and will  be skilled in project management and research tasks. 

This exciting role within the Digital Media team will see you assisting the Senior Gaming Manager in producing and publishing Fantasy Premier League, developing the Premier League’s gaming strategy and growing the Premier League’s gaming portfolio. 

Games Production 

  • Assist in production, work to cost and schedule development tasks, check progress of delivery and ensure development ends on time and to quality. 
  • Build roadmaps, reports and documentation, attend and host meetings and stand-ups. 
  • Monitor bugs, working to ensure the accurate reporting of issues throughout development. 
  • Support the Commercial team in the fulfilment of activation rights of commercial partners 

 Research 

  • Support the Senior Gaming Manager in the development of the Premier League’s gaming strategy through market research and benchmarking  
  • Produce detailed market research into gaming products within and beyond sports, across multiple platforms (e.g. mobile, PC, console, AR/VR) 
  • Identify new gaming opportunities complimentary to existing owned and partner games 

Requirements for the role 

  • Strong knowledge of the gaming industry and games development 
  • Demonstrable experience in project management – organised and proactive  
  • Experienced in market research – able to produce and present insightful documents to support strategy development 
  • Possing commercial acumen able to support the development of business cases for new ventures 
  • A keen gamer with knowledge of multiple platforms and genres, within and beyond sports (e.g. Roblox, Fortnite) 
  • Understanding of gaming culture and able to offer a perspective to support the development of authentic gaming experiences to drive Premier League fandom 
  • History of playing Roblox and Fantasy Premier League (desirable). 

 

Skills 

  • Naturally organised and collaborative, practical and enthusiastic about the details. 
  • Demonstrates sound production process, problem solving, analysis and curiosity. 
  • Personable and reliable, with excellent written and verbal communication. 
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and the MS Office package in general. 
  • Exposure to project management software packages such as Azure, Jira, MS Project, etc. 
  • A passion to learn, refine and execute games production as a craft.
