THE POSITION

These are your key tasks:

  • Handle all assigned requests and deliver by the set deadline (translation, proofreading, transcription and subtitling),
  • Clarify all content-related and linguistic questions with the proofreader (if assigned) or the requester and, if relevant, keep the Project Management & Technology Unit and Team Leader informed,
  • Conduct terminology work,
  • Answer linguistic queries from FIFA team members,
  • Report any issues to the Team Leader, in particular regarding meeting deadlines, in a timely manner,
  • Respond to the requests from the Team Leader and Head of the Department,
  • Follow the processes established by the Project Management & Technology Unit,
  • Be a project leader for internal projects,
  • Advise the assigned department/division ,
  •  Evaluate and implement AI-assisted translation, terminology, and quality-control tools to enhance productivity and consistency,
  • Perform post-editing of AI-generated translations and ensure outputs meet FIFA quality standards,
  • Identify opportunities where AI solutions can streamline workflows and propose improvements to the Project Management & Technology Unit,
  • Monitor the performance of AI tools, report issues, and support their optimisation with feedback and linguistic expertise,
  • Contribute to guidelines and best practices for responsible and effective use of AI in translation processes.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:

  • Mother tongue French (France), fluency in English; any other language is an asset
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role,
  • Experience in the sports industry is an advantage, 
  • Academic degree in Translation or equivalent (EN>FR and preferably another combination between SP>FR, DE>FR or AR>FR),
  • Football knowledge/interest is a must,
  • Up to date with the newest translation technologies available on the market (NMT),
  • Client oriented, efficient and effective,
  • Strong organizational skills and communication skills,
  • Flexible.
