Job Description
Role:
The FP&A Analyst will support the Senior FP&A Manager - Planning in owning and delivering on the end-to-end financing planning & reporting process for Entain's operations in the UK&I, working closely with the Head of Financial Planning, Finance Director and the wider finance function .
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Senior FP&A Manager - Planning to lead the budget & quarterly reforecast process end-to-end for our Digital and Retail business in the UK&I, including:
- Undertaking detailed and often complex analysis & modelling, including maintaining and evolving the forecasting model(s) for our UK&I Business
- Working with key stakeholders to review trends and agree assumptions for each area of our UK&I business
- Summarising findings & modelling in presentations aligned with (but not limited to) the Group's quarterly forecasting & strategic update cycles
- Supporting the Senior FP&A Manager - Planning in driving improvements to our daily, weekly and monthly management reporting, generating robust variance analysis and ensuring we understand the key drivers of performance
- Preparing Strategy and Finance updates and other materials to be presented to senior audiences (UK&I Exec, Group Exec and Board)
- Analysing the impact of strategic initiatives on the UK&I business
- Competitor analysis & benchmarking to support financial and strategic business planning
Qualifications
Essential:
- At least 2 years in an analytical finance role including, but not limited to, FP&A, Commercial Finance or Consulting
- Advanced Excel skills, including experience building and maintaining complex financial models
- Detailed knowledge of financial modelling and/or analytical techniques
- Strong PowerPoint skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships and influence people
- Ability to work independently, sometimes under pressure, and meet challenging deadlines
- Results driven, can work at fast pace whilst ensuring high degree of accuracy
Desirable:
- Qualified accountant e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA
- Prior experience in a related industry
- Prior commercial finance and/or FP&A experience
