Fixed Term Contract from September 2025 to Summer of 2028
The Role
The Finance Assistant is a key role in ensuring efficient and effective day to day finance services through processing and maintaining financial transactions to ensure accuracy and integrity across all records. This role will manage all elements of the purchase ledger and sales ledger and maintain core cash management functions.
What will you be doing?
- Provide operational finance support through ownership of the purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash book for the business.
- Processing supplier invoices/credit notes and ensuring timely payments
- Processing customer invoices/credit notes and track incoming funding
- Manage the expenses processes and ensure adherence to company policy
- Maintain financial records and ensure financial data is recorded to a high standard
- Perform key reconciliations e.g. bank and supplier recs to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Support the Finance Manager with maintenance of financial systems and other key activities
- Identify opportunities for process efficiency and implement solutions to support scaling of the business
- Provide assistance to the wider finance team
- Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet the changing priorities.
- Collaborate with the wider finance and operational teams to ensure cohesive support across departments
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.
What are we looking for?
Essential skills and experience
- Previous transactional finance experience
- Ability to work independently with appropriate guidance
- Ownership of end-to-end transactional process (e.g. Purchase to Pay)
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills with specialisation in Excel functions
- High level of numeracy
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable skills and experience
- Professional level of qualification required or working towards e.g. AAT
- Experience of working in a high volume transaction environment
- Experience working in a fast-paced working environment
- Experience with Access Financials or equivalent

Where is the role based?
Our head office is based at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, however depending on your role you may be required to travel across the UK and Ireland to our 9 Stadiums and 8 Host Cities, with some roles being based in those locations.
As an event delivery organisation, it’s important that we have regular time together in the office and currently employees come together at least 2/3 days a week at HQ in Wembley, with the number of days in HQ increasing as the project develops with a minimum of 3-4 days needed in 2026-2027 and full time in the year of 2028.
