Main goal
With a view to greater stakeholder engagement and closer collaboration with supporter organisations across Europe, UEFA is looking for a Fan Relations Specialist to support and coordinate initiatives on a diverse range of topics. As part of a fan relations team, the specialist will support and enhance relationships with supporter organisations and other stakeholders, as well as managing established fan inclusion workstreams and collaborative, fan-related projects, integrating fan perspectives into all areas of UEFA’s work, including competition and policy decisions, to ensure that fans are engaged and recognised as integral partners in shaping European football.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinating UEFA’s day-to-day relations with Football Supporters Europe (FSE) and supporting engagement with fan groups generally
- Keeping abreast of collaborative projects run by other UEFA divisions and units that involve fan groups and other stakeholders
- Supporting the administration of fan consultation platforms, including the UEFA Fan Advisory Forum
- Coordinating the administration of working groups, including the UEFA-FSE Visiting Fan Sector Working Group, and working alongside the Football division, the Safety, Security and Service unit and Operations on other projects
- Helping facilitate and develop dialogue and relationships between national associations and domestic fan groups, liaising with and providing assistance to national associations on matters that concern fans
- Working as part of the fan relations team to ensure fans are included in the preparation of UEFA club competition and national team competition finals and final tournaments
- Providing ad hoc support on other fan-related projects such as the organisation of the UEFA Club Competitions Supporter Liaison Workshop
- Contributing to the drafting, coordination and monitoring of projects on a wide range of matters
- Engaging in other stakeholder affairs activities that may impact fans
- Researching and drafting documents and presentations to explain complex topics to a variety of audiences
