Estimator

POSITION SUMMARY:

Fanatics Collectibles is seeking an Estimator to determine the total production costs and time requirements for each project, based on detailed job specifications and customer deadlines. This role involves analyzing and implementing the most cost-effective methods for job production while ensuring high-quality standards are met. The Estimating team works closely with internal teams and external suppliers to gather necessary pricing information, evaluate resource needs, and prepare detailed bid packages. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make informed decisions that support efficient production processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Review and evaluate job specifications for each project to ensure accurate cost estimation.
2. Calculate the time required to complete each job, accounting for all phases of production.
3. Estimates labor and material costs for each project, ensuring that all relevant factors are considered.
4. Obtain pricing information from internal and external sources to prepare accurate and competitive quotes.
5. Determine equipment requirements and understand equipment rates to ensure efficient use of resources for each job.
6. Prepares comprehensive bid packages that align with customer specifications and deadlines.
7. Proofread and review quotes for accuracy and clarity before submission to customers or internal teams
8. Collaborate with internal groups to provide relevant estimates and updates for ongoing projects. 
9. Source multiple quotes from external vendors for materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timeliness.
10. Generate a list of raw material requirements during the estimating phase, to ensure the timely sourcing and delivery of all necessary components for each product.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

This position requires a thorough knowledge of the offset/UV, digital printing and finishing industries, including familiarity with vendors and types of materials being used.This position also performs other projects for the company as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, sit, and kneel. This job also requires clear vision at 20 inches or less (can be correctable with lenses). Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to each side while eyes are fixed on a given point.) The ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust eyes to bring an object into focus) is necessary.Distant vision (clear vision at 20 ft. or more) and color vision (ability to distinguish colors).Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
3. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating, cost analysis, or a related role within a production, manufacturing, or graphic arts environment.
4. Familiarity with industry-specific materials, equipment, and processes is highly preferred.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on Excel or Access for data management and analysis; experience with estimating or project management software is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Detail-oriented and able to assess complex job specifications data to make informed decisions.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Environment and Scheduling

• Work is performed in an administrative office setting.
