OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Employee Relations (ER) Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. The ER Coordinator will support the Senior Manager of Employee Relations in handling employee matters, developing and maintaining employee relations documentation, and ensuring consistent policy application. This role plays a critical part in fostering a positive work environment through policy management, employment law research, cross-functional collaboration, and training support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Assist the Senior Manager, Employee Relations in addressing and resolving complex employee matters with professionalism
  • Draft, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and alignment with company culture and values
  • Being the first point of contact for ER matters on the site taking enquires and directing people as appropriate
  • Create, organize, and maintain comprehensive documentation related to ER cases in accordance with legal and internal standards
  • Conduct employment law research to support internal policy decisions and ER case management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and effective communication and implementation of HR policies across departments
  • Partner with Learning & Development and ER teams to support and co-facilitate employee relations training and policy awareness programs
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with the utmost discretion
  • Comfortable in picking up occasional employee investigations under the support of the ER management team

TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in any Human Resources role.  Employee Relations experience would be an added advantage.
  • Reasonable understanding of HR policies, workplace practices, understanding of employment law is desirable
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential information
  • Keen to develop and build an ER career
  • Reasonable knowledge of MS Office
