Job Description

Responsible for managing financial operations and reporting across multiple EMEA Talent divisions to ensure an efficient, accurate and timely financial and management accounting function.

Overall management of a team of three with two direct reports, with the main focus on delivering the key outputs of the annual financial reporting cycle. Including month end close, forecasts, budgets, as well as managing compliance and statutory account filing.

Please note: This will be a fixed term contract role from September 2024 - December 2025.

Team Management

• Management of 2 direct reports; x2 Finance Managers
  • Co-ordinate and organise workstreams
  • Ensure deadlines across the team are met and managed
  • Support continuing professional development
• Manage relationships with off-shore accountants.
• Support the wider finance team in key business initiatives

Month End Close

• Manage the month end close process across 6 cost centres operating across multiple companies
  • Review of departmental P&Ls and associated supporting schedules, including detailed revenue and COS analysis
  • Review agent bonus statements
  • Review and monitor of all company balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage the intercompany process ensuring settlements are made appropriately between companies on a timely basis
• Review Management Information packs before distribution to heads of department
• Manage the monthly reforecast process, ensuring inputs are aligned with accurate and up to date information
• Presentation of Team Sports and Boxing divisions' monthly performance and variance analysis to senior management

Financial Management and Compliance

• Manage the annual financial reporting cycle for 4 companies based in multiple European and UK markets
• Manage the annual local statutory account submissions
• Manage the local audits
• Ensure all local tax and other compliance is prepared, reviewed and submitted to deadlines
• Manage relationships with third party accountants and financial advisors
• Manage monthly accounts reconciliations with local accountants
• Review and assist with VAT returns
• Assist with annual Corporate Tax returns
• Maintain strong financial controls and escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner.

Budget & Analysis

• Manage the annual budget process
  • Liaise with key budget holders and other stakeholders
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and schedules to support budget assumptions and inputs
• Model and run ad hoc analysis to support commercial decisions
• Bonus calculation/tracking

Other/Projects

• Manage accounting integration of acquisitions and/or new business ventures and quickly establish robust financial controls and align to group accounting policies.
• Continuous process improvement, ensuring the system is fully optimised to make processes as efficient as possible
• Team/project support for business initiatives
• Cover team members to review and approve customer, supplier and invoices processed through the system
• Ad hoc tasks and projects as required
