As aDAZN News US content editor (freelance) you will be responsible for writing, sub editing and publishing engaging sports news stories and trending content, primarily with a focus on US sports, including NFL, NBA and MLB, plus boxing.

As our new DAZN News US Content Editor, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Cover a range of US sports, reacting to breaking news stories and trending topics, turning these around efficiently into engaging, authoritative copy to publish on the DAZN News platform, as well as via PUSH on the DAZN app.
• Produce articles covering breaking and trending sports stories  
• Sub edit and publish colleagues’ content 
• Write snappy copy for App Push notifications 
• Live blog major sports events 

You'll have:

• Working on a busy news desk, this role will involve working independently, often as the only editor on shift, therefore it is vital you demonstrate experience of strong editorial judgement, being a self-starter with initiative, and great attention to detail. 
• Available to work specific freelance shifts - 7am-3pm PT/10am-6pm ET; 3pm-10pm PT/6pm-1am ET)
• Excellent knowledge of US sports, especially NFL, but also NBA and MLB 
• Proven experience as a shift/on desk writer and editor 
• Strong editorial judgement and keen attention to detail 
• Ability to work successfully and efficiently independently 
• Good knowledge of boxing 
• Experience and good knowledge of producing SEO content 
• Live blogging experience
