Job Description

The Coordinator, Tour Marketing will help the Senior Director, Tour Marketing develop, implement and execute marketing and ticketing strategies focused on a variety of audiences with a primary goal of selling tickets and maximizing marketing budgets for client festivals, one-offs and tours nationally and internationally, while also providing support on administrative duties for both the Senior Director, Tour Marketing and the Tour Marketing department overall.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years (minimum) of professional experience (excluding internship experience) working in the music industry in a live music/music marketing-related role, has a strong interest in both music marketing and live music/touring and working at the intersection of the two. This position requires a communicative, detail-oriented, highly motivated and organized individual who will continue to learn on the job, can take initiative and have the ability to work under limited supervision across multiple clients and tours and with multiple individuals. Flexibility and the ability to multi-task are both crucial to the role as the role will see the individual perform high-volume administrative and marketing tasks across a variety of time zones and territories.

General Administrative duties include, but not limited to: heavy phones, scheduling and coordination of calls and meetings, maintenance of day-to-day agent calendar, note-taking for meetings and calls, preparing travel and expense reports, maintenance of tracking documents and spreadsheets, etc.

On the Tour Marketing front, the Coordinator, Tour Marketing will work with the Senior Director, Tour Marketing and internal agent teams, managers, labels, tech partners, ticketing vendors and national and local marketing individuals to build announcement timelines, organize and execute artist-specific marketing, including, but not limited to, digital, print, radio, TV and outdoor. They will also handle various tour marketing initiatives as needed.

Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Creating, managing and maintaining tracking documents and spreadsheets for artist marketing for all tours on the Senior Director's roster.
  • Coordinating tour announcements and on-sales for upcoming national and international shows and tours.
  • Creating and distributing marketing and ticketing emails to promoters.
  • Collecting localized creative, marketing plans, radio proposals, ticketing headers, ticketing audits and additional materials from promoters.
  • Distributing new content to promoter teams as received from artist teams.
  • Cross-checking all artist AND promoter social media and official website platforms as well as ticketing links, pre-sales and any VIP program implementation to ensure all information is accurate.
  • Acting as a liaison between agents, clients/client teams, promoters and other external partners.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions for creative marketing ideas to use throughout tour campaigns.
  • Working closely with the overall tour marketing department/team on building department-wide systems to make our department more efficient, creating presentations, submitting partner pre-sale requests, managing department interns, as well as additional initiatives as assigned.
  • Covering client shows when possible to provide visibility and support to artist and agent teams.

Qualifications:

  • Must be based in Los Angeles or willing to relocate as the position is hybrid in nature. (Must have valid U.S. work authorization as visa sponsorship is not available.)
  • 2-3 years of professional experience working in the music industry, ideally in an office setting, in a live music marketing-related role.
  • Awareness/knowledge of key players in the live music space and in the music industry as a whole.
  • Flexibility as the Senior Director launches tours worldwide across multiple time zones in a variety of territories.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator), Box, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Outlook).
  • Must have the ability to work with limited supervision and with multiple individuals.
  • Must demonstrate poise and tact and be able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to ever-changing priorities, and interface with clients and C-level management with grace while understanding and maintaining confidentially, discretion and professionalism.
  • Must have an excellent attention to detail, communication (written and verbal), organizational and project management skills.
  • Proactive, reliable, resourceful and assertive when necessary.
  • Possesses a “no job is too small” attitude.
  • Highly motivated and excited to continuously learn with the goal of succeeding and growing in the role.
