Full Description

The Consumer Collecting Specialist is responsible for leading two marketing functions (Sampling & University Activity) nationally, which aim to grow our user base and strengthen brand love among our target group. The Consumer Collecting Specialist works with National Marketing teams to recruit, lead & retain a casual workforce of energetic and passionate brand ambassadors. This includes coaching our Student Marketeers (SMs) out in the field on how to ensure quality consumer & customer interactions. They are responsible for managing large national projects from start to finish, integrating impactful sales support programs, guiding our SMs on program principles and execution standards, working cross-functionally on new ways to excite our consumers, and, most importantly, are well-connected to changing generational trends and maintaining & growing our presence on university campuses.

  • Lead Exceptional Execution of the Sampling Program

    • Ensuring the SMs are true Red Bull representatives and a tangible face of the brand through adequate recruitment, coaching & guidance to the sales team.

    • Ensure that SMs approach consumers in a natural and charming way to:

    - Communicate our product propositions – & how these will serve either a functional &/or a refreshment need state.

    - Drive trial by offering consumers the right Red Bull product in relevant occasions to influence consumer understanding and repurchase.

    - Support sales teams through effective sales support.

    - Credibly communicate product information, understanding product facts and functionality

    • Support Field Marketing teams with clear expectations and guidelines for achieving targets & other sampling goals, including coaching on how these should be effectively communicated to SMs.

    • Do frequent analysis on program deliverables and be agile to make necessary adjustments and program steering on a monthly basis in consultation with the team.

    • Answer consumers' requests and ensure replies in the Consumer request handling tool meet global benchmark, making sure customer requests are being answered in time and within brand guidelines

    • Support the Sports Marketing Manager on events, with calendars, and the Marketing team

    • Support the Marketing department in Wings for Life World Run b2b communication and sign-up process

  • Lead Exceptional Execution of the University Program

    • Guiding and supporting Student Marketeers to drive Red Bull trial, increase brand awareness, and foster a positive product and brand perception within their respective universities.

    • Support in driving mental & physical availability on and around university campuses by working with sales teams to provide coaching and training to Student Marketeers.

    • Responsible for working with sales on national tender pitches and maintaining strong relationships with key account groups and partners that are university-related.

    • Work with Student Marketeers to grow our university presence and reach by leveraging Wings to complete university work where it makes sense and redeploying resources to universities with the most opportunity.

    • Provide clear expectations and a framework that allows SMs to effectively plan and deliver a localised campus plan to infuse Red Bull into student lifestyle at their university during key moments (study, party, etc.), using a “from students for students” approach.

    • Develop and implement an innovative program of exciting brand activity, such as events, hacks & campaigns that will maintain Red Bull as a credible and relevant brand for students, protect against competition, and win students as loyal Red Bull consumers.

    • Identify opportunities to bring national and international best practice Red Bull events & projects to life on campus, and support SMs to activate these on relevant campuses.

    • Together with the Global team, work on implementing global student events in the local market based on BP inputs, leading projects from planning to the execution phase

  • Marketing Innovation

    • Regularly assess and analyze the programs, identifying opportunities to improve processes and excite consumers and students.

    • Work on plans that will sustain or increase % of awareness and brand image amongst students, as well as improve student coverage & people reached on university campuses managed by Red Bull University.

    • Increase the usage of Red Bull Energy Drink in the Study occasion through the T&A study.

    • Improve the targeting of sampling new & infrequent users through the Sampling program by reviewing data and insights on a regular basis, and the mission planning process.

    • Work with the Marketing team to write, develop & deliver the annual approved business plan and achievement of agreed objectives.

  • People Development & Leadership

    • Implement and uphold the Intl. recruitment, onboarding, and training modules for global consistency, working closely with HR for local compliance.

    • Look at how to improve the effectiveness of recruitment campaigns by identifying new digital spaces & social media initiatives to attract the best candidates.

    • Work closely with the Marketing Manager on team onboarding & training for leadership roles of SMs.

    • Support, train, and motivate to optimize the potential of achieving high-performing individuals and teams.

    • Spend time in the field with Student Marketeers coaching & giving top-notch feedback, which is actionable & development focused.

    • Identify and nurture key talent working on improving succession & pipeline development within Consumer Collecting for the wider organisation.

    • Responsible for planning and executing annual conferences for Student Marketeers, which are exciting and built with a strong learning design framework.

    • Act as a role model and display the Red Bull values, having a consistent tone of voice that is motivating and inspiring.

  • General Program Management

    • Responsible for secure, smart, and efficient budget management of both sampling & university programs, whilst finding ways to optimize expenditure.

    • Work closely with the finance team to ensure timely and efficient budget management with a national view and coach regional teams on effective budgeting principles.

    • Work closely with the operations team to manage the branded fleet & ensure adequate efficiencies with the state teams.

    • Work with the Operations team in Free Goods planning

    • Lead & encourage great reporting and manager coaching within Red Bull University, as well as maintain your own top-notch community management.

    • Work with other counterparts within the Marketing team on the Business planning process

EXPERIENCE

  • • 3+ years of experience in leading student-relevant projects and events.
  • • Preferably has been a part of and was a stand-out Student Marketeer.
  • • Strong interpersonal & communication skills
  • • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • • Coaching and training individuals and teams
  • • An entrepreneurial ‘can-do’ attitude facilitated by continuous learning and application of appropriate ‘best practices’
  • • Solid analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions from data
  • • Team player willing to learn
  • • EDV (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Fluency in English
  • Travel 0-10%
