Commercial Operations Venue Manager x3 (Women’s RWC England 2025 LOC)

TOURNAMENT TIME CONTRACT AUGUST - SEPTEMBER

BASED IN Exeter, Northampton & York

Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 (Women’s RWC 2025) will be the 10th edition of the women's tournament.  World Rugby, in partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and UK Sport, have formed a Local Operating Company to plan and deliver the event.

Ambitions for the tournament are at an all-time high as women’s rugby is one of the fastest growing team sports in the world. Women’s RWC 2025 will be the ultimate stage for the best players, teams and coaches from 16 nations across the globe and is set to be the biggest and most widely watched women's rugby event ever. The Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 Local Organising Committee (LOC) wishes to appoint a RWC 2025 Commercial Operations Venue Manager at three venues for Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025.The Commercial Venue Manager will be a key member of the tournament-time delivery on-venue and ensure that the Commercial Rights of the various RWC 2025 Commercial Stakeholders are delivered at their venue, and RWC 2025 Fan Zone site. They will be supported onsite by at least one Commercial Deputy Venue Manager and Commercial Venue Assistant on the days around the match.

LIST OF KEY DATES

Exeter – start date 13/08/2025 – 16/09/2025 (35 days)

Northampton – start date 14/08/2025 – 09/09/2025 (27 days)

Exeter – start date 13/08/2025 – 09/09/2025 (28 days)

The Commercial Operations Venue Manager will be on site from 10 days prior to the first match day at the venue until 2 days after the final match..

All Commercial Venue Managers will be required to attend a 2 day training workshop prior to the tournament. The training will take place in Twickenham on 4th and 5th August and further details will be shared closer to the time.

What you’ll be doing:                            

The Commercial Operations team are responsible for delivering all the rights (contractual and otherwise agreed). This includes the following non-exhaustive list of in-stadia requirements:

  • Branding & signage (pitch-side, outlets and other areas);
  • In-venue sponsor activities (activations, promotion’s, give-aways, prizes, product placements, etc.);
  • In-venue retail;
  • Accreditation;
  • Parking;
  • Venue Access (vehicle & human);
  • Stakeholder commercial compliance
  • Pre-match run sheets;
  • Match-day run sheets; and
  • Broadcast liaison.

Experience & knowledge you’ll need:

  • Experience in a similar role involving delivering venue and event operations
  • Understanding and delivery of quality client service
  • Ability to build strong and authentic working relationships
  • Comfortable being autonomous on-venue
  • Positive, solutions-focused mindset  
  • IT literate, with a good knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • All applicants must have a current and valid right to work in the UK

Nice to Haves:

  • Full Driving License
  • Experience managing relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic working environment, handling multiple tasks within a multicultural environment
  • Persuasive and articulate with good communication and presentation skills

Please note that RWC25 will carry out the sourcing, interviewing, selection and offer stages of this recruitment process. Should you be successful for the role, please note that onboarding, engaging and payrolling will be handled by a third party. Accordingly, if you are successful for the role, you will need to enter into a contract for services as a PAYE worker (or limited company contractor) with this third party.
