Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 (Women’s RWC 2025) will be the 10th edition of the women's tournament. World Rugby, in partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and UK Sport, have formed a Local Operating Company to plan and deliver the event.
Ambitions for the tournament are at an all-time high as women’s rugby is one of the fastest growing team sports in the world. Women’s RWC 2025 will be the ultimate stage for the best players, teams and coaches from 16 nations across the globe and is set to be the biggest and most widely watched women's rugby event ever. The Women’s RWC 2025 Transport team are looking to recruit a Client Group Transport Manager responsible for the transport operations of key clients, namely participating teams and tournament guests. The Client Group Transport Manager will report into the Tournament Transport Manager.
Key Dates:
- 23rd and 24th June 2025 – Pre-tournament time induction
- Start date - 14th July with the first five weeks on a 5 day a week basis.
- From 18th August the role will be on a six days per week basis until contract end date.
What you’ll be doing:
- Act as the RWC 2025 Transport team point of contact for internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to colleagues from Team Services Functional Area, airport, train station and hotel contacts, RWC 2025’s appointed bus supplier and travel agency and UK Border Force
- Oversee the arrival and departure operations at airports of key clients including Teams, Match Officials and key tournament guests, ensuring that agreed service levels are delivered to all clients
- Liaison with Team Services Pool Coordinators and Team Liaison Officers regarding daily schedules of teams and coordination with bus supplier to ensure that services are delivered accordingly and within driver working hour restrictions
- Work closely with the tournament appointed Travel Agent advising on suitability of departure flights for teams and amending accordingly as per tournament progress
- Oversee tournament guest matchday bus shuttle operations at key fixtures including transport operations at tournament guest hotels
Experience & knowledge you’ll need:
- Previous experience working in Transport operations within a tournament environment
- Experience in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple individuals across a varied portfolio of responsibilities
- Demonstrable experience of working with a variety of external stakeholders
- All applicants must have a current and valid right to work in the UK
Nice to Haves:
- Previous experience within Arrivals and Departures operations for a major tournament
- Previous experience delivering transport operations to teams/athletes
- Previous experience working with a travel agent to manage the booking of flights for groups/teams
