Venue Transport Manager - Bristol/Manchester (Women’s RWC England 2025 LOC)

Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 (Women’s RWC 2025) will be the 10th edition of the women's tournament. World Rugby, in partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and UK Sport, have formed a Local Operating Company to plan and deliver the event.
Ambitions for the tournament are at an all-time high as women’s rugby is one of the fastest growing team sports in the world. Women’s RWC 2025 will be the ultimate stage for the best players, teams and coaches from 16 nations across the globe and is set to be the biggest and most widely watched women's rugby event ever. The RWC 2025 Transport team will have a Venue Transport Manager responsible for the safe, efficient and timely transport operations at each of the 8 Match Venues. Venue Transport Managers will report into the Tournament Transport Manager.
Key Dates:

Role will require two days of pre-tournament induction on 23rd and 24th June.
-
Additional induction days on 25th June and 1st and 2nd July.
-
Role will start in full from 14th July with the first five weeks on a 5 day a week basis.

From 18th August the role will be on a six days per week basis until contract end date.
What you’ll be doing:
-
Act as the RWC 2025 Transport point of contact on venue and as the first point of contact for stakeholders including but not limited to Match Venue transport counterpart, Host City Transport Lead, Traffic Management companies, parking management companies and local transport service providers

Management of Venue Load Zones including Teams, Match Officials and Tournament Guests

Oversee the management of all matchday and non-matchday parking on venue, including the distribution of parking passes and local management of the tournament digital parking system including Match Day overview of parking system

Matchday liaison with Host City Transport lead to check in on status of local transport services and road network as well as feeding back with status updates to Tournament Transport Manager

Management of Venue Fleet vehicles. This includes the handover and hand back of workforce operational fleet vehicles as well as those allocated to Tournament Guest and Match Official movements

Use of Tournament Management System Fleet module to assign transfers for clients as well as allocation of drivers and vehicles

Daily management of volunteer drivers, including initial training, vehicle handover and confirmation of transfers to be undertaken

Management of other Venue Transport volunteers
Experience & knowledge you’ll need:
-
Previous experience working in Transport operations within a tournament environment
-
Experience in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple individuals across a varied portfolio of responsibilities

Demonstrable experience of working with a variety of external stakeholders
-
Experience managing a volunteer workforce
-
All applicants must have a current and valid right to work in the UK
Nice to Haves:

Previous experience within Fleet operations including knowledge of fleet management systems

Experience delivering effective and efficient spectator transport operations
