Wasserman seeks a Associate Vice President, Influencer that truly understands the social landscape and has a passion for influencers. The right candidate will oversee influencer campaigns, manage project leads and build meaningful client relationships. They will work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure a streamlined and effective execution of projects. They will use their experience and understanding of the digital space to deliver impactful influencer campaigns, in line with schedule and budget.

You will sit within the Social & Influencer Team at Wasserman London, full of people who genuinely care about doing great work. We’re a longstanding leader in the influencer and content space, having executed award-winning, global programs with some of the biggest brands in the world. We serve as problem solvers for our clients, helping them grow their business through content and campaigns consumers love.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is extremely organized, process oriented, and self-starting. Successful candidates will lead a team and act as a trusted resource for clients and internal team members. They should be passionate about the evolution of the brand-customer relationship and enthusiastic about all things digital and social. They should have a high-level ability to communicate effectively, creatively solve problems, and make decisions. Most importantly, they should be curious to learn and willing to put themselves in uncomfortable positions, constantly striving to push the boundaries of what is possible.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of influencer / creator specialists in the London office
  • Oversee the execution of influencer campaigns from beginning to end, ensuring influencer content is aligned with brand expectations, deliverables and campaign brief
  • Work closely with other cross-functional teams to ensure effective influencer campaigns
  • Initiate and maintain weekly and monthly recaps for all team projects and share with relevant internal teams
  • Establish strong and trusting client relationships internally and externally
  • Monitor and keep abreast of industry news and trends report updates to team including information on specific influencers, the influence/social landscape and emerging influencer identification
  • Work closely with the New Business team on influencer RFPs, assigning project leads and recommending deliverables
  • Participate in team brainstorms of proactive influencer opportunities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of what Wasserman is and what we can do
  • Ensure Influencer Managers are exceeding client expectations throughout the campaigns
  • Oversee post-program reporting and identify key learnings in working with emerging platforms & technologies
  • Answer client questions and ensure any/all problems are resolved in a professional manner
  • Have a strong understanding of whitelisting and best practices for paid media from influencer channels

Requirements

  • 8+ years of account or project/account management experience at a leading agency working with digital/social / influencers
  • Experience implementing social media, digital & integrated marketing campaigns
  • Ability to accurately scope projects, define requirements, and determine success metrics
  • Experience leading and managing a successful team
  • Proven ability to proactively present strategic counsel to client teams
  • Passion, collaborative attitude, creativity, and resourcefulness
  • Understanding of strategy, paid media and how to best activate influencers
  • Ability to communicate results to the team, management, or clients in a fast-paced environment
  • Aptitude for leadership – knows when to take charge and when to delegate
  • In-depth knowledge of influencer marketing space with focus on all social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, x, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, Facebook, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of the planning, creative and production processes, with strong attention to detail
  • Understanding, passion, and curiosity about the digital and social media universe, including all current and emerging social media channels and trends
  • Unparalleled commitment to excellence —working nonstandard hours when necessary, travel as required, anticipating issues and communicating with diplomacy, identifying emerging platforms and trends to drive innovation
