Achieving our goals requires strong collaboration and partnership between our teams and our internal stakeholders. To best support this, the person who accepts this role is expected to be on site, in office four days per week. To provide our employees with flexibility, we offer a unique benefit where employees at Fanatics' corporate entity can work remotely for up to four weeks per year, which can be taken in daily or weekly increments.

The Role

Fanatics is seeking an Accounts Receivable Billing Supervisor who is a customer focused, strategically minded leader to oversee the billing function. The AR Supervisor will help establish policies and procedures and implement best practices, while protecting the organization against unnecessary risk and bad debt exposure.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee the preparation of customer invoices and credit memos
  • Review work of billing staff to ensure accuracy of work
  • Manage a team of AR staff to handle billing across multiple verticals in a rapidly growing company – ensure accuracy of data entry and no errors
  • Timely resolution of issues
  • Identify process optimization and data improvements and collaborate with business process and data owners in defining and implementing data strategy, policies and control measures, to ensure data quality and consistency across key applications
  • Maintain financial security by implementing and adhering to internal controls
  • Partner with the sales team and other business partners to resolve customer issues
  • Develop and report on departmental KPIs and metrics
  • Assist internal and external auditors in gathering information requested pertaining to quarterly and annual audits
  • Participate in bi-weekly meeting between credit and sales team
  • Understanding of Chart of Accounts and impact of function on financial statements
  • Reconcile billing accounts to the General Ledger
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Mentor, and develop team members
  • Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; AA degree highly preferred
  • 5+ years experience within Accounts Receivable
  • 1+ years leading and growing team
  • Understanding of financial statements and accounting/finance processes
  • Team oriented while building strong relationships, a positive work environment in a fast-paced organization
  • Ability to demonstrate time and process management, including the prioritization of multiple simultaneous deadlines, set priorities, and work under pressure
  • Ability to identify business requirements and translate them to requirements for IT
  • High attention to detail
  • Effective professional communication skills with all levels of management
  • Strong ability to analyze information and make sound decisions
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while meeting assigned deadlines
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel and navigating customer online portals
  • Position may be demanding because of deadlines and interruptions to work
  • Must have the ability to travel as needed, to support the business
  • Experience with Microsoft D365/DAX or Oracle a plus
