JOB SUMMARY:

The Facility Supervisor is critical to the smooth operation of our Fulfillment and Manufacturing Centers. This role will be responsible to ensure that Safe Work Practices and Procedures are followed and the maintenance of the Facility, Manufacturing Equipment, Automation Equipment, Material Handling Assets, Housekeeping and Grounds. The Facilities Supervisor will report to the Sr. Director and work as a strategic partner with Safety, Security and Operations to analyze trends and solve opportunities to maximize the site's success.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitation of the day to day function of the Facilities team to include but not limited to:
    • This role will support and report to the Sr. Director – Supply Chain Maintenance.
    • Daily assignments to the team and monitor performance.
    • Performance evaluations to include auditing, training, recommendation for promotions and supporting Performance Improvement Plans.
    • Performance management to include coaching, corrective action, suspension and up to and including recommendation to Senior Leadership for separation.
    • Training and Development for the sites Facilities Technicians
  • Facilitation of day to day support for the sites Operations Teams to include by not limited to:
    • Daily attendance and participation at the sites Production meetings
    • System Performance and Downtime Reporting provided to the Site Leadership
    • Key Member of the Safety Committee.
    • Collaborates with internal and external business partners
  • Manage security staff and assist in maintenance and coordination of physical security programs.
  • Support efforts to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks and improvement opportunities through the conduct of daily, weekly and monthly audits.
  • Manage accident and incident investigations utilizing the 5 Why system. Partner with Operations to analyze and implement correction actions.
  • Provide or facilitate immediate aid for associates, visitors, vendors, or guests that need assistance or guests that need assistance or medical attention.
  • Ensures completion of Work Orders, Repairs, Preventative Maintenance and Records Retention in accordance to company procedures and standards.
  • Adheres to all Department and Company Standards, Operating Procedures and Safety Requirements.
  • Coordination and oversee vendors and contractors.
  • Models and Fosters a positive working culture of inclusion.
  • Diagnose Mechanical and Electrical systems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electrical/mechanical schematics), and diagnostic tools.
  • Responsible for making decisions in regards to daily facilities support, equipment availability and safety related needs in partnership with Operations.
  • Oversees the maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of the sites Manufacturing Equipment, Material Handling Equipment, Building and Grounds, and Industrial Trucks.
  • Responsible for being a subject matter expert within Facilities and providing recommendations to the Sr. Director – Supply Chain Maintenance and Operations Leadership.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma
  • 3-5 years of related experience in Facility Leadership within a Fulfillment, Distribution or Manufacturing Facility.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Industrial Environmental Health and Safety experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Possess a strong ability to self-manage and proactively adjust focuses when needed.
  • Ability to manage and communicate confidential information related to incident/event investigations.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing, Material Handling Automation, Electrical, Mechanical and Pneumatics Systems
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Must be able to manage through Facility related emergencies in a professional manner.
  • Flexible hours to ensure business needs are met.
