Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

The Airport Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Airport Planning & Relations Manager to support the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of Arrivals and Departures services at key transport hubs. This role will focus on assisting in the day-to-day operational management, ensuring the smooth transfer of clients, baggage, and equipment to their respective accommodations. The Airport Operations Coordinator will act as a key operational support during Games Time and will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high service levels across all transport-related operations.

  • Support the Airport Planning & Relations Manager in coordinating daily operations for arrivals and departures, ensuring smooth service delivery across Ports of Entry and Service points, such as Airports and Train Stations (if necessary), by liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as airport authorities, handling agents, and logistics teams.
  • Ensure the timely and efficient transfer of clients, baggage, and equipment between transport hubs and accommodation sites, supporting the planning and operational execution of transport services and schedules.
  • Contribute to writing operational documentation, such as daily run sheets and operational checklists, ensuring that all processes are well-documented and aligned with agreed-upon service levels.
  • Foster strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring service levels are maintained and any issues are promptly addressed.
  • Assist in the development and execution of contingency plans for Games Time operations, proactively addressing operational challenges and ensuring effective solutions are implemented.
  • Assist with the training of the Arrivals and Departures team to ensure operational standards are met.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE: ITALIAN speaking as mother tongue. Accessibility expert.
  • Experience in major event operations, airport authority, handling agent, or tour operator roles, with a strong understanding of Arrivals and Departures operations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, eager to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proactive approach to operational challenges, with the ability to adapt quickly to changes and unexpected situations.Project management skills, including the ability to coordinate various tasks and team members.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Italian, with other languages considered a plus.
  • EU work permit required.
