POSITION SUMMARY:
Fanatics Collectibles is seeking an Account Manager (CSR) to manage production processes from initial order generation to final delivery, acting as a liaison between customers, production teams, and vendors. This role involves managing sales orders, overseeing customer proofs, coordinating project schedules, and ensuring material availability. The ideal candidate will coordinate across cross-functional teams throughout the manufacturing process, generating print run lists, facilitating pre-launch meetings, and communicating with customers regarding job status, product quality and any production issues. The position requires a proactive approach to problem solving, attention to detail and strong communications skills to maintain production schedules and ensure customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Generates sales orders and material requirements for planning system based on production schedules and lead times.
- Processes and reviews new customer proofs before routing to pre-press to prepare virtual proof for customer approval.
- Supervises Assistant Customer Service Representatives and project coordinators to maintain production flow.
- Conducts telephone/email conversations with customers regarding job status, production issues, schedules, and estimates.
- The main point of contact with GC production and assigned customers for communication and resolution of issues.
- Schedules pre-launch meetings to review programs prior to start-up and follows up on any missing items with customer/vendors to ensure everything needed is available for production use.
- Provides input and expertise with research and development for new production ideas and concepts.
- Generates printing run lists for inside and outside printers and approves invoices prior to submission to purchase.
- Provides material disposition approvals to production areas for items that can be discarded based on criteria agreed with customers.
- Meets with the customer on site to evaluate the first case that is produced to ensure it meets their expectations and also ships the second QC case to the customer.
- Generates work order requirements and inserts work orders notes taking extra attention to flag items that require special handling. This includes finishing packaging program notes and UPC information.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
This position requires a thorough knowledge of the offset/UV, digital printing and finishing industries, including familiarity with vendors and types of materials being used.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear, talk, sit, walk, and reach. This job also requires clear vision at 20 inches or less (can be correctable with lenses). Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to each side while eyes are fixed on a given point). The ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust eyes to bring an object into focus) is necessary. Distant vision (clear vision at 20 ft. or more) and color vision (ability to distinguish colors). MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; ideally with 2-3 years of professional experience in Production Coordination, Operations Management or Production Project Management, ideally within the manufacturing or print industry.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and interacting with customers in a production environment.
- Experience with project management, customer proofing processes and quality control
- Familiarity with production planning systems and order management processes a plus
Skills/Knowledge:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with customers and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to oversee complex production schedules, create precise work orders and ensure accuracy during all stages of the production process.
- Critical thinking skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving production issues.
- Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams to meet production deadlines.
- Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to manage client expectations effectively.
- Availability to work beyond normal work hours as needed (via phone or computer)
Environment and Scheduling:
- Work is performed in an administrative office setting.
- Must be flexible and available to work additional hours when necessary.
