The International Hockey Federation (FIH) is the global governing body for hockey, recognised as an Olympic sport since 1908. Responsible for overseeing the sport’s rules and regulations, managing world rankings, and developing hockey worldwide, FIH organises major international events, including the FIH World Cup and the FIH Pro League.

Founded in 1924, FIH's mission is to promote and develop the sport of hockey at all levels, from grassroots to elite competition, and to foster inclusivity and gender equality in partnership with 146 national associations and 5 continental federations.
