Full Description

We are looking for a Club Pathway Operations Officer to provide excellent administration and operational support to the Women's Club Talent Pathway, overseeing the day to day operations of the player pathway across FA Girls Emerging Talent Centres (ETCs) and Professional Game Academies (PGAs).  The pathway provides talent development environments for developing talented players for the future game. 

This is a fixed term contract running until 30th June 2028.

Interviews are scheduled to be held at The National Football Centre, St. George's Park on Tuesday 19th August 2025.

What will you be doing?

  • Work closely as part of the Club Talent Pathway team to ensure day-to-day administrative support of the Girls' Emerging Talent Centres Programme and the Professional Game Academy Programme.
  • Provide onboarding support to staffing working in Girls' Emerging Talent Centres and Professional Game Academies. 
  • Support staff working in Girls' Emerging Talent Centres and Professional Game Academies to understand and uphold Operational Criteria.
  • Manage the Player and Staff registration process (ETCs) on FA central systems to ensure every player and member of staff is registered.
  • Collaborate with the wider Club Talent Pathway team to coordinate a CPD programme and calendar of events for Emerging Talent Centre and Professional Game Academy programme players, parents and staff.
  • To support the delivery of all  Club Talent Pathway events.
  • Collaborate with the wider Club Talent Pathway team to coordinate a games programme targeted at ETCs.
  • To support the planning and coordination of all internal Club Talent Pathway meetings including team meetings, cross department meetings and consultation events.
  • To provide direct operational and administrative support to the Women's Club Talent Pathway Operations Manager and Club Talent Pathway Managers.
  • To support the ongoing development and implementation of wider Women's Technical strategic priorities.
  • Executes additional tasks as required to meet the FA's changing priorities.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure that the highest standards of health, safety, and well-being can be maintained.
  • As part of the FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.

What are we looking for?

Essential for the role:

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the FA Women's Football Strategy, the current girl's talent pathway and organisations within girls' and women's football.

Experience

  • Experience working with a Girls' Emerging Talent Centre and or a Professional Game Academy.
  • Project management experience.
  • Event management experience.
  • Experience of working with and building relationships with the major stakeholders.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient use of FA Platform for Football.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain quality of work.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to build databases and distribution lists.

Beneficial to have:

Knowledge

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Women's Football Pyramid.
  • Knowledge and understanding of The Football Association and other Football Stakeholders.

Experience

  • Experience of working with the major stakeholders across football (Women's Pyramid, County FA's, Club Community Organisations and Grassroots Clubs)
  • Experience of successful change management.

Technical Skills

Experience of Smartsheet and project management tools.
