Job Description

The Vice President of Sales will lead our ecommerce agency's revenue generation, and partner relationships. This role is pivotal in driving our agency’s growth by overseeing strategic initiatives across sales and partner management. The VP will play a key role in evolving/building a high-performing team, fostering strong platform partnerships, and ensuring that we can continue to grow.

Experience selling professional services in the eCommerce space is a MUST HAVE requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and client acquisition goals.

  • Oversee the sales pipeline, lead generation, qualification, and conversion activities.

  • Build a sales team (over time), equipping them with the tools to succeed.

  • Establish and track sales metrics.

Partner Management

  • Build and nurture relationships with ecommerce platforms that we work with (ie. Adobe Commerce, Shopify and BigCommerce).

  • Leverage existing relationships with sellers at the partners to drive inbound lead generation.

  • Collaborate with partners on joint go-to-market strategies, co-marketing initiatives, and revenue-generating opportunities.

  • Identify opportunities to deepen partnerships, including expanding into new markets and increasing referral volume.

  • Represent the agency at partner events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships and boost visibility.

  • Monitor and report on partner program performance, tracking metrics such as lead referrals, co-marketing ROI, and revenue impact.

Strategic Alignment and Leadership

  • Help develop/evolve our go-to-market positioning & strategy to enhance brand visibility, generate leads, and drive business growth.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, technology, and client success) to ensure alignment on company objectives.

  • Provide strategic guidance to the executive team on trends, risks, and opportunities in the ecommerce and digital marketing landscape.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, leveraging insights to adapt strategies and maintain competitive advantage.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to the VP of the Wasserman Digital division.

  • Oversees the Sales and Partner Management teams.

Base salary range: $150-200K, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.
Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
