Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
Position
The Venue Logistics Specialist will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of all logistics operations for the Closing Ceremony in Verona. This role ensures the seamless delivery of all logistical services throughout every phase of the ceremony, including pre-event preparations, event-time operations, and post-event dismantling.
This position will work closely with internal teams, external suppliers, and local stakeholders to guarantee the timely and effective execution of logistics-related tasks, contributing to the overall success of the closing ceremony.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and execution of all logistics activities related to the Closing Ceremony in Verona, including transportation, storage, and on-site distribution of materials and equipment;
- Manage and follow up on logistics requests from different functional areas (e.g., Sport, Media, Catering, Protocol, Security, Technology) during the event;
- Assist in the implementation of the Venue Operations Plan, focusing on logistics workflows and operational needs specific to the Closing Ceremony;
- Monitor and support bump-in (set-up) and bump-out (dismantling) activities for the ceremony, working in collaboration with contractors, suppliers, and venue management;
- Coordinate logistics teams, including staff and contractors, ensuring all tasks are carried out efficiently and on time;
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental protocols during logistics operations at the ceremony;
- Serve as the key liaison between central Logistics & Operations teams and the Verona venue, providing regular updates and resolving any logistical issues;
- Maintain strong relationships with local authorities, suppliers, and venue management to ensure a smooth event operation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in logistics or operational support roles, ideally within major events, sports competitions, or large-scale ceremonies;
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in high-pressure environments;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to coordinate diverse teams;
- Knowledge of Verona and its event venues, including local logistics and stakeholder relationships, is an advantage;
- Fluent in English; good working knowledge of Italian or any other language is a plus;
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and high-demand periods;
- Proactive, hands-on approach with attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence;
- Preference will be given to candidates with self-accommodation in the Verona area.
