FIFA World Cup 26 Skills Framework

The Event Logistics & PMA Logistics team plays a critical role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of logistics operations across all FIFA World Cup 26™ host cities. The main responsibilities include:

Core Logistics (All Roles)

  • Support planning, coordination, and monitoring of logistics operations across stadiums, training sites, team base camps, airports, hotels, compounds, and non-competition venues. 
  • Coordinate with Team Services, Security, Event Transport, Venue Logistics, and additional FIFA26 Functional Areas to ensure smooth movement of teams, personnel, and equipment. 
  • Track daily logistics movements and help resolve operational issues in a timely, accurate manner. 
  • Maintain logistics databases, dashboards, trackers, and operational tools to support real-time situational awareness. 
  • Assist with documentation, reporting, briefings, and preparation of operational summaries for internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Support management of Rate Card requests, approvals, and cost recovery, ensuring proper tracking and financial accuracy. 
  • Contribute to daily and weekly logistics situation reports, including risks, equipment updates, staffing statuses, and movement logs. 
  • Coordinate with suppliers, Local Service Providers (LSPs), and venue teams to support operational readiness.

PMA Logistics (Included Across Specialist & Manager Levels)

  • Assist with the implementation of PMA-specific logistics plans, policies, and procedures related to team arrivals, departures, training sessions, match movements, and equipment transfers. 
  • Track and monitor PMA logistics activities and provide consistent updates to relevant managers and stakeholders. 
  • Support Roaming Team logistics across assigned venues, ensuring agreed service levels are maintained. 
  • Maintain updated Rate Card service requests and produce regular operational and financial summaries. 
  • Collect and analyze cost-control data, identifying efficiencies and supporting budget adherence. 
  • Support coordination, onboarding, and scheduling of PMA logistics temporary staff and drivers. 
  • Maintain updated rosters, contact lists, and training compliance for PMA operational personnel. 
  • Act as a liaison for PMA-related questions to ensure consistent communication across functions.

Venue Logistics (Included Across Deputy Manager Level)

  • Support the planning and execution of daily Logistics operations at competition and non-competition venues. 
  • Supervise onsite Logistics staff, contractors, and service providers to ensure FIFA operational standards are met. 
  • Coordinate work assignments, daily schedules, and welfare of onsite workforce. 
  • Conduct daily staff briefings and reinforce health, safety, and venue security procedures. 
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, distribution, inventory, and replenishment of goods and equipment. 
  • Manage setup, maintenance, and dismantling of Functional Areas and logistical assets, ensuring accurate quantities and layouts. 
  • Support management of compounds, storage facilities, load-ins, load-outs, and delivery operations. 
  • Assist with PMA equipment movements during tournament periods. 
  • Generate operational reports and support troubleshooting and issue resolution. 
  • Promote sustainability initiatives by applying efficient resource use and waste-management practices.

Leadership & Management (Manager-Level Duties)

  • Serve as the primary Logistics representative for assigned venues and PMA operations. 
  • Lead the PMA Logistics Team and Roaming Team, including goal-setting, task assignment, performance monitoring, and staff wellbeing. 
  • Develop PMA staffing plans and oversee quality assurance for temporary staff and drivers. 
  • Ensure alignment of operational plans across PMA, Venue Logistics, Team Services, Event Transport, and Security. 
  • Support development and compliance of sustainability, health & safety, and standard operational procedures. 
  • Represent Logistics in planning workshops, stakeholder meetings, and operational briefings. 
  • Oversee administration related to PMA Rate Card funds and financial reporting. 
  • Maintain consistent daily and weekly logistics situational updates for leadership review.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Event Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working in logistics, supply chain, event operations, venue operations, or major sporting events. 
  • Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders such as suppliers, service providers, airports, hotels, and venue teams.
  • Experience supervising staff, volunteers, or contractors (required for Manager and Deputy Manager roles).
  • Experience working in fast-paced, multicultural, and operationally complex environments is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with team equipment movements, transport flows, and large-scale event logistics planning is preferred.
  • Equivalent professional experience in logistics or major event operations may be accepted.
  • Training in project management, health & safety, or transport/logistics systems is an asset.


Work Experience

  • Fluent in English.
  • Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus.

Technology

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project).
  • Experience using logistics planning tools, dashboards, transport systems, rate card systems, and online collaboration platforms.
  • Familiarity with event management systems, workforce tools, or operational databases is an advantage.
