Role:  Vehicle Access and Parking Operations Manager

Location: Wembley Stadium, London

Contract: Summer 2028

 
The Role 

The Vehicle Access and Parking Operations Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of event transport operations at a venue level. Working closely with varied functional areas as well as liaising directly with venue contacts, the Venue Access and Parking Operations Manager will ensure seamless delivery of parking operations and onsite vehicle movement for key client groups including Teams, Referees and Tournament Guests across all nine EURO 2028 match venues. 
 
The Vehicle Access and Parking Operations Manager will act as the key point of contact within the UK and Ireland 2028 Event Transport team for all venue transport matters, working closely with UEFA’s Vehicle Access and Parking Operations Specialist and will have line management responsibility for Vehicle Access and Parking Operations Coordinators covering all match venues. 
 
This role supports the successful delivery of the UK&I 2028 Tournament through inclusive, values-driven and performance-focused contribution. The role is expected to model our organisational values: Embrace the Opportunity, Achieve Excellence, and Thrive Together. 

What will you be doing? 

  • Leads Vehicle Access and Parking Operations for UK and Ireland 2028 Event Transport team, including the management of a team of Coordinators 
  • Development of Venue Transport Operations Plans for all EURO 2028 match venues 
  • Maintain key working relationships with UEFA Vehicle Access and Parking Operations Specialist and EURO 2028 match venue points of contact to ensure alignment across all levels of planning 
  • Develop and implement Vehicle Access and Parking Pass (VAPP) approach and policy for EURO 2028 working closely with UEFA Event Transport team 
  • Support the processes of procurement, contracting and reconciliation of parking management service providers 
  • Acts as key contact person for all internal and external stakeholders with regards to vehicle access and parking operations for the event 
  • Defines and implements all Vehicle Access & Parking Policies and Procedures in line with the guidelines provided by UEFA 
  • Coordinate with UK and Ireland 2028 Mobility team and local mobility stakeholders to ensure that all mobility planning, including Local Area Traffic Management Plans are factored into Vehicle Access and Parking Operations planning 
  • Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet the changing priorities.  
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.  

What are we looking for?  

  • Proven experience working within an Event Transport environment, preferably within major sports tournaments 
  • Previous experience within a line management capacity 
  • Demonstrable experience of stakeholder and supplier management 
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills 
  • Computer-literate: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook 
  • Analytical thinking 
  • Project management  
  • Previous experience working with mapping tools

Where is the role based? 
Our head office is based at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, however depending on your role you may be required to travel across the UK and Ireland to our 9 Stadiums and 8 Host Cities, with some roles being based in those locations.  
 
As an event delivery organisation, it’s important that we have regular time together in the office and currently employees come together at least 2 days a week at HQ in Wembley, with the number of days in HQ increasing as the project develops dependent upon your role requirements/location.
