Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

The VDO Program Coordinator plays a key role within the Venues & Infrastructure Command Centre (VICC), supporting the monitoring and coordination of activities across the entire Venue Development & Overlay (VDO) function, which includes Design & Delivery, Program Management, Cost & Contract, Engineering Services, and Signage & Wayfinding.

The VDO function is responsible for the planning, design, and delivery of temporary infrastructure for all competition venues and major non-competition sites. This position is based at the Milan Headquarters of the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of the VDO project readiness plan.
  • Contribute to the development and presentation of internal VDO policies and procedures.
  • Assist in organizing and managing VDO training and testing exercises.
  • Help define the operational concept of the VICC, including communication protocols between VDO representatives at the venues, the Organising Committee’s Main Operations Centre, and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication both within the VDO function and with external stakeholders, as part of Games readiness planning.
  • Coordinate the daily operations of the VICC, ensuring:
    • adherence to operational procedures;
    • preparation of consolidated daily reports;
    • monitoring of issues raised by venue teams and providing support for resolution;
    • cross-functional coordination among stakeholders.

Requirements

Professional Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience in program or project management
  • Solid understanding of program management principles and their practical application
  • Familiarity with operational readiness concepts (preferred)
  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or Business Administration
  • Excellent command of English (C1/C2); additional languages are a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
