Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

This position is an integral part of the Venues & Development & Overlay (VDO) functional area and will support the team to deliver the project in line with the agreed milestones, project plans and budgets.

Manage the overlay cost & contract planning and execution for a number of competition and non-competition venues.

Assist Venues & Infrastructure (VNI) functional area in the procurement process during all the tender phase:

• support Venue Delivery Senior Manager in the contract negotiations and in the definition of the overlay delivery strategy definition and implementation;
• actively operating in the definition of the overlay delivery contract for the general contractors;
• supporting the definition of the technical package (review and implementation of technical specifications, drawings, BoQ, specific reports, etc.).

In particular, he/she will:

• Support and coordinate all Cost & Contract disciplines within the VNI area.
• Integrate and align delivery of VNI projects using structured planning systems and processes.
• Manage the ongoing relationships with service providers / contractors to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
• Ensure a high standard of relationship management and service with all internal functions, partners, stakeholders and contractors and the like.
• Manage cross functional relationships to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Assist the VNI reporting function ensuring that progress reports, schedules, risk management and the like are accurate, up to date and delivered on time.
• Be fully in control of the budget implications of any proposed design solutions and be aware of budget constraints and design to a budget.

Requirements

• Knowledge in the Overlay Cost & Contract management of major sporting venues. Knowledge and understanding of program and project management within a sports and major events environment, including cyclical planning requirements.
• Role in a major event / construction / engineering environment
• Qualification in Sport / Cost Management
• Excellent language skills in English, knowledge of one or several other Olympic movement official languages is an advantage
• IT-experienced, knowledge of usual office software + technical drawings software
