The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ticketing Operations Manager to join the Glasgow 2026 team and lead the operational delivery of ticketing across all competition venues.
You’ll ensure a secure, inclusive, and seamless ticketing experience for every spectator by managing the integration of systems, staffing, access control, and venue operations. From strategic planning to Games-time troubleshooting, your work will ensure Glasgow 2026 delivers a world-class, accessible event for all.
This is a delivery-focused role in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment – perfect for someone with strong ticketing experience, venue knowledge, and a passion for operational excellence.
Above all, you'll bring a calm, methodical, and solutions-focused approach to a complex and constantly evolving project — one where planning, precision, and people skills are just as important as technical delivery.
This is a high-profile opportunity to play a critical role in one of the most visible operational functions of the Games, delivering behind-the-scenes impact on a global stage.
Job Summary:
You’ll act as the operational lead for ticketing across all Glasgow 2026 competition venues, working closely with our Ticketing Service Provider, internal Functional Areas, Venue Management teams and our Event Delivery Partner. Your role will involve developing detailed ticketing operational plans covering staffing, overlay, equipment and training, while ensuring these plans are embedded within the wider operational readiness of each venue.
You’ll coordinate ingress and egress planning to support safe and efficient crowd flow and lead key readiness activities including venue fit-outs, test events, and systems training in collaboration with Technology, Security, Accreditation and Workforce teams. You will be responsible for on-site system delivery, Games-time troubleshooting and ensuring ticketing operations support Glasgow 2026’s high standards of accessibility, inclusivity and safeguarding.
You will also be expected to monitor performance, produce operational reports, and escalate issues as required, all while maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers and internal delivery partners. The nature of the role means responsibilities may evolve as the Organising Committee’s plans develop.
Key Skills and Experience:
You’ll bring proven experience in delivering ticketing operations for large-scale, multi-venue sporting or entertainment events. Your operational knowledge of venue access, crowd flow and ticketing systems will be essential, along with practical experience managing ticketing infrastructure, scanning hardware and on-site troubleshooting.
You will be comfortable working with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including Security, Technology, Venue Management and third-party suppliers. You’ll demonstrate the ability to lead operational delivery teams and maintain composure and clarity under pressure.
An understanding of accessibility and inclusivity best practice in event delivery is key, and you’ll ideally have experience working on major international sporting events. Familiarity with ticketing platforms such as CTA, Ticketmaster or Eventim, and an awareness of data privacy protocols related to ticketing and access systems, would be advantageous.
Why Glasgow 2026?
Joining the Glasgow 2026 team means being part of something extraordinary. As we embark on this exciting journey, we’re not just planning an event – we’re creating a new legacy for Glasgow and the Commonwealth. This is an opportunity to shape the future of major sporting events, bringing the world together for 11 days of unforgettable competition and culture.
We’re looking for well-organised, passionate, and driven people who are excited to roll up their sleeves and be part of an inclusive, forward-thinking, and sustainable Games. This is your chance to help set the new standard for global events while contributing to the city’s rich sporting legacy.
